chapter 2: zumi is my new secretary

Zumi entered the elevator to the 23rd floor of the building, she pass through the secretary desk to Jason office. Jason Sat Cross legged on a luxury couch zumi nervously Walk to him.

Zumi: Sir

Jason.p:so you are the new secretary huh, drop the files on my desk , Lydia My former secretary will come over tomorrow and fill you in on your work and don't think of having any stupid idea of trying to seduce me cause that's what you all want to do when you see me.

Zumi: not to worry Boss that won't happen

am married with two kids.

Jason.p: whatever, go to the designing department and tell mr sterling to send me pictures of the new design he is working on.

Zumi: Yes Sir (she walk to the door and stop to ask) sorry sir but which floor do i go.

Jason.p: 15th floor and you have 15mins

Zumi: uh!!!!!(Zumi ran out of the office to elevator)15mins to 15th floor i just started today and am already given time to deliver a message, why in this world am i so unlucky with people i work for. 'ping'( the elevator stopped at 15th floor, zumi Walk to the door written at the top designing department by her left, she checks her watch) i still got 10mins

Zumi got in she saw a Man lecturing the workers to do better, his name tag says sterling

Brooklyn.

Zumi:mr sterling a few minutes of your time.

Sterling: get to work everyone (he walk to zumi)hello Miss what can i do for you.

Zumi:hi am Mr Jason.p secretary, my boss wants the new pictures of the new design you are working on.

Mr sterling:oh i will send it to him now

Zumi:ok I'll take my leave.

Mr sterling: wait you are his new secretary

Zumi: yeah

Mr sterling: when did you start

Zumi:i started today and this is my first errand

Mr sterling: how did you manage to pass the interview, did you get nervous or scared when he ask questions.

Zumi: well i....(She checks her watch, two minutes left)oh no time is almost up sorry i have to go.

She didn't wait for him to respond, she was Three minutes late when she got to Jason office.

Jason: you're Three minutes late

Zumi: am sorry sir

Jason: this is your first time am letting you off

Zumi: thank you sir is there anything else i can do for you

Jason:no.

The day seems to be fast zumi sat on chair all day, Jason didn't call her for errands or anything. Jason Left the office by 6:30, zumi Left after 5 minutes she took the bus to Dilla bus stop, she walk to the three storey building her apartment was at the last, she was so exhausted of climbing the stairs as she opened her door water splash on her face.

Janie:uh oh

Zumi: great (she wipe her face and stare at her little twins holding a water gun, she looked around the messy living room) what is going on here

James: sorry Mom we didn't mean to

Janie:hi Mommy grandma went out to buy some stuff

Zumi: she went out and you two decide to mess up every where

James: we're sorry Mom, i told Janie we shouldn't but she insists

Janie:hey don't put all the blame on me

Zumi stare at the two six years old kids, five years ago the twins parents died in a bus accident zumi and twelve other passengers were also involved in the accident , the twins lost their memory from the impact of the accident not knowing their parents,zumi was the person who rush the kids to the hospital before ambulance arrived, the twins called her mom after few days they were in coma. Zumi decided to be their mom.

Zumi:it ok kids mommy isn't mad at you, mommy is very happy today cause she has a job.

Janie: you got a new job

Zumi: Yes honey

James: which means mommy won't pick us up from school or play much with us.

Zumi :don't say that, I'll always have time for both of you now give mommy a big welcoming hug (she knee to their height and hug them) now help me clean this up before grandma comes back.

After cleaning up the house she made dinner for them. At night zumi and her mother Mrs Stella tailor Sat alone in the living room.

Mrs Stella:so you got a job am really glad at least i don't have to ask your sister to send me money to take care of you and the twins.

Zumi: me too although it still confusing, i didn't sign any contract or documents to be his secretary Mom do you think i should tell him.

Mrs Stella:if you tell him don't you think he will replace you with some one else, you need this job zumi

Zumi:i guess you're right, >yawn< good night mom i have to wake up early.

The next day zumi got the company , she stop by Nina desk to greet her.

Zumi: morning Nina

Nina:hi you are here again what's your name again sweetie.

Zumi: it's zumi i work as boss jason.p secretary

Nina: what! You're mr jason.p secretary how?

Zumi: I'll tell you maybe sometime, Lydia is coming to fill me in

Nina:tough luck for you

Zumi: yeah later

Zumi went up to the 21st floor after checking on Jason office if everything was set right she sat on her chair and arrange the papers scattered on her desk. An hour later Jason arrived at the office, zumi followed him to his office

Zumi: Good morning sir

Jason: what's so good about the morning (he said coldly not glancing at her)

Zumi: (she ignores his question and place his coffee on his desk) your coffee sir

Jason:(he stare at the woman smiling at him ,he said to himself)"what's good about today, why is she smiling like that."

Michael Jason best friend walk in interrupting his thoughts.

Michael:hey Jason

Jason.p: you moron can't you knock

Michael:ha why do i have to knock before entering my best friend office

Zumi:(zumi took the cue to leave) morning sir

Michael:hi beauty come here for a minute, Jason is she your girl

Zumi:huh

Jason: that's ridiculous i have a very high taste, she is the new secretary you sent over for me.

Michael:no i didn't send you anyone, the new secretary i brought is outside your office.
