chapter 7: you would be Dead
It been two days since the incident zumi was still unconscious, the twins and her mom were the only ones in hospital with her, Daniel her best friend kept visiting.
She slowly open her eyes hearing her kids arguing sitting at the edge of the bed.
Zumi:(groans) kids quite,will you?
James: mom you're awake
Janie: are you okay mom
Zumi: where am i, my head hurts (she touched her bandage head, her mom sat on the bed wiping tears rolling down her cheeks)
Mrs Stella: you are at the hospital, the police called two days ago saying four Men were dead you and James were unconscious, i.... I couldn't imagine if anything should happen to you and the kids...I...( She started crying as more tears rolls down, zumi pull her to a hug)
Zumi: am sorry mom, i had no idea what happened and why those men attacked us am sorry for making you worried please stop crying am fine now.
Mrs Stella: am glad you are fine but what happened zumi, the cops are really on a big edge they have been coming here since you were unconscious so they can here what happened from you, they already asked James and Janie question about that day. James claims that he fainted seeing how is mom was beaten so he has no idea how those men died , am lost right now.
Zumi: Janie what did you say to the cops
Janie:i told them a mysterious man saved you and kill those men, the taller officer kept on asking which man and what he looks like.
Mrs Stella: do you know what he looks like?
Janie:i said it before grandma, i didn't see his face it was getting dark.
Zumi: (zumi relieved that her daughter knows how to play cards, she hugs her Janie) i love you sweetie, James you too.
James moves away from the bed to sit on the couch.
Zumi: James are you okay?
Mrs Stella: he must still be in shock of what happened, I'll go home to prepare something for you to eat
Zumi: thank you mom ( Mrs Stella hang her bag to her shoulder and left the hospital, zumi walks to the couch knees besides James) you're okay now no need to be scared mommy is here.
James:(she tries to hold his hand but he pulls them away) am... am scared of you mom
Janie: what you're scared of mom?, Mom saved us she is a hero.
Zumi: enough Janie, am sorry if i made you scared honey Mom was only trying to protect you but i promise this won't happen again.
James: ok Mom, is it okay if we all go have ice cream once you're feeling better.
Zumi: yes infact we'll go tomorrow.
James: yay awesome
Janie: i get to choose all kinds of flavours
Zumi: yeah sure ( she suddenly realized that her second zumi hasn't said a word since she woke up) uh kids why don't you two go outside and play Mom needs to rest
Janie:oh right we should go play tag James
James: you first
Zumi:(the twins ran outside, zumi walks to the bathroom she looks at herself in the mirror) hey are you in there
2nd zumi: how are you feeling ( her left eye turned green)
Zumi:whoa this is crazy as shit i can't believe i have two souls in one body and you're the strong version of me
2nd zumi: yeah right i am, i didn't want to bother your conversation with your family
Zumi: very reasonable after all you did scared the living hell out of my kids , especially James he's the type who gets scared easily seeing a head fell off a body isn't that easy for him.
2nd zumi: sorry i had to do something or you would be dead and like i said before am here to protect you and your family.
Zumi: what about your family in the other world.
2nd zumi: they are dead all of them, my mom, sister, kids and people i love are all dead i couldn't protect them when they needed me, am just an empty hallow having no use for life than killing for fun or the opposite.
Zumi: am so sorry, that very tragic to know that my sister Mom and kids with the people i love died and i couldn't do anything to protect them.
2nd zumi: that why am ready to do anything in my power to make sure you and your family is safe, together will make a big difference in your world a good difference.
Zumi: please don't interfere with my work or personal issues
2nd zumi: don't bother am here to rewrite your weak days and protect you nothing else.
Zumi:i guess we're even, oh by the way if it okay can you tell me what killed them and who?
