Mandatory drinking lessons

Although humans couldn't feel elemental energies until they (metaphorically) punched them in the face, Qi naturally resonated with them. If I paid attention to that resonance within me, I could tell what elements the herb was attuned with, and how potent they were.

We spent two weeks just wandering the mountain and gathering herbs. I kept mentioning the ruins, mostly to needle Guying, who became increasingly annoyed every time that happened.

Over these days, not only have we gathered a ton of herbs that could be used for brewing wine, I picked a few nuts with potent Lightning Qi in them.

Although Guying had no idea what they were and warned me against eating them blindly, I felt like they would work well in my future Proto-Core.

Most wild beasts stayed clear from us, but a few times we were attacked. However, I usually took care of any wild animals easily. Guying could protect himself as well.
