The venom splashed over my sleeve, stinging me a little, but most of it slid off the Eight Threads Formation on my clothes.

Undeterred by its injuries, the Spider Snake continued to attack.

Its Qi glowed with green and red, and a fiery aura appeared around the beast. That aura quickly grew beyond the beast itself and out of it, creating a second snake, except this one was made from Fire energy, connected to the snake with thin threads of Wood energy like a puppet.

It was a fascinating technique, and another time I'd be very interested in nitpicking it, but right now that puppet was attacking me alongside the snake itself.

I swung my sword at the Spider Snake, deftly avoiding its tail and legs to get closer for a proper blow. The Flame Puppet tried to flank me, but was flanked itself by a pair of undead Antler Wolves.

The wolves rammed the puppet with its antlers, which damaged them as much as it did the puppet.
