Part 32: Sarah Scared Jim

As Sarah entered the room, her presence momentarily startling me, I couldn't help but feel a surge of relief wash over me. Her familiar face was a welcome sight amidst the unsettling emptiness of the abandoned house within the Crow headquarters.

"You scared me," I admitted, my heart still racing from the sudden interruption.

Sarah offered a sheepish smile in response, her eyes filled with a mixture of concern and determination. "I know where you are," she replied cryptically, her voice soft but resolute.

As she settled onto the bed beside me, her expression grew serious, a weighty silence settling between us as we prepared to broach the subject at hand.

"What's the matter?" I asked, sensing the gravity of her intentions.

Sarah hesitated for a moment before speaking, her words measured and deliberate. "I wanted to talk to you about something important," she began, her gaze unwavering as she met my eyes.
