Part 64: Fire on City

"I have a plan. We should free Mother Miranda. She can control the situation herself," Sarah suggested, her eyes gleaming with determination.

"That's great," Captain Lee agreed, his face lighting up with a renewed sense of purpose. With our next move decided, we set off towards the small town police station. As we entered the city, a shocking sight met our eyes: flames engulfed the buildings around us, turning the sky into an ominous shade of orange and black. The heat was intense, and the acrid smell of smoke filled the air.

"This is insane," I murmured, my voice barely audible over the crackling of the fire. "Just before I came here, everything

was silent and peaceful."

"Maybe the monsters attacked after you left," Captain Lee suggested, his eyes scanning the area warily. In the distance, we could see zombies shambling aimlessly, their guttural moans blending with the roar of the fire.
