Part 86: Emily Have Disappeared

During our march, we reached a decorated and clean room. "This is a good place to rest for a short time," Captain Lee said, looking around. We set our bags down and took our places to rest. I was exhausted, and as soon as I found my corner, I fell asleep almost immediately.

My eyes snapped open when I heard the loud voice of Mother Miranda. "Where is Emily?" she asked urgently, her voice echoing through the room. I jumped to my feet, still groggy from sleep.

"She was there. I saw her last time over there," I pointed to a corner where I had last seen Emily.

"She is not anywhere. I searched all around," Mother Miranda replied, her worry evident.

"Mother Miranda, you should not worry. She must be near," Doctor Marcus tried to comfort her, but tension was clear on his face as well.

"Where was she last time?" Captain Lee asked the group.

"She was sleeping here," Sarah said, pointing to a sofa. Captain Lee walked over to the sofa and examined it carefully.
