Part 95: Fight Became Horrible

Captain Lee and Officer Davis stood once again, bodies aching and battered, but their resolve unbroken. The intensity of the fight had reached a fever pitch, and both men were running on pure adrenaline. Suddenly, Captain Lee shouted, “I need water.”

Officer Davis, despite his animosity, recognized the necessity for a brief respite. “Water break,” he echoed, and the tension in the air momentarily eased. The other officers quickly handed them bottles of water, and both men drank deeply, allowing the cool liquid to revive their parched throats and exhausted muscles.
