Chapter 45: Dimensional Crossing (Part 1)

"Ada's grappling gun is practically a piece of divine equipment," Daniel thought as he borrowed Ada's grappling gun for a look. Using a 3D printer, he quickly reproduced the grappling gun.

The existence of the 3D printer made many things significantly simpler, especially in the laboratory. A 3D printer could greatly enhance laboratory efficiency.

Stark's ability to rapidly produce so many Mark series Iron Man suits was largely thanks to 3D printing technology. The extent of 3D printing's capabilities is astonishing. As long as you have the materials and the design, you could fabricate an Ant-Man suit in no time.

In "Spider-Man: Far From Home," Peter Parker used a 3D printer to quickly create his new Spider-Man suit.

Of course, achieving this level of capability with a 3D printer is very expensive, at least tens of millions of dollars, with some costing up to hundreds of millions.

Among the items Daniel had previously borrowed was a small 3D printer. Now, he possessed two large 3D printers and four medium-sized ones, all part of Wesker's legacy.

These large 3D printers were highly capable. For example, if you had the blueprints for a Quinjet, you could fabricate one in no time.

Making other items was even simpler.

For instance, if you wanted an action figure, a 3D printer worth tens of millions could easily produce a life-size, intricately detailed model. Though, no one would likely use such an expensive machine for this purpose.

Top scientists usually have these as standard equipment. The Pym household had a small but highly precise 3D printer used to create the Ant-Man and Wasp suits.

"Done." Looking at the black Ant-Man suit integrated with vibranium, Daniel couldn't help but punch the air in excitement. This Ant-Man suit was crafted based on his memories and incorporated elements from the Ant-Man, Black Panther, and Spider-Man suits, calculated and executed multiple times by Red Queen.

Since acquiring Red Queen, Daniel's work efficiency had significantly improved. Tasks such as material integration and mixing could be entirely handled by her.

If Daniel had access to a powerful portable energy source, like Stark's arc reactor, he could fabricate an Iron Man suit in no time.

Creating an Iron Man suit has never been particularly difficult. Stark managed to handcraft one in a cave. In modern society, with access to vast technologies, it would be even easier.

Iron Man suits have been a research focus for companies like Stark Industries. Many were built, but without solving the energy problem, they are just heaps of scrap metal.

After the advent of the arc reactor, even Justin Hammer could manufacture multiple Iron Man suits.

The reason we didn't see a proliferation of Iron Man suits after the arc reactor's advent is another issue: the AI system.

To be Iron Man, you need both the arc reactor and an AI system.

Without energy, the Iron Man suit can't move. Without an AI system, the suit can't fight effectively. Manual aiming? That's a joke.

For Stark, remotely controlling Iron Man suits from his villa was ideal. The freed-up space could carry more weapons.

The reason Stark didn't do this was entirely for showing off. Without showing off, what's the difference between a man and a salted fish? Stark perfected this principle.

"You finally decided to leave that shabby house of yours," Stark said, glancing around Daniel's new villa with disdain.

This new villa was already very luxurious, but to Stark, it was unimpressive.

Today was Daniel's housewarming party, and Stark made a rare appearance. However, his attitude showed no signs of congratulation.

In the world of capital, money can solve many problems. Pepper quickly found this villa. Daniel delayed moving in until today because of renovations.

To accommodate Red Queen's large container server, a vast basement was necessary.

Aside from the basement, another crucial addition was a large arc reactor. This reactor wasn't free; it was bought at market price from Stark Industries. Building large arc reactors is a significant source of income for Stark Industries.

"Of course, my place can't compare to yours. But if you're so free, why not work on making the arc reactor smaller?" Daniel looked at Stark helplessly.

Stark Industries publicly claimed that miniaturizing the arc reactor was extremely difficult. Obadiah Stane had assembled many scientists to attempt it, but to no avail.

Yet, considering Stark managed to shrink the arc reactor to palm size in a cave using a hammer, it's clear he could do it. He just didn't want to.

"I'm very busy. I don't have that much time," Stark replied, laughing as he lay on a poolside lounge chair.

A luxury villa with a pool—something Daniel once only dreamed of—was now a reality.

"Busy with what? Chasing women?" With Pepper nearby, Daniel refrained from voicing this thought.

"Alright, I came early to congratulate you on your move and even brought you a gift. Now go make dinner."

Daniel, unable to adapt to Western food, cooked for himself whenever possible. Coupled with the abilities of the Ope Ope no Mi, Daniel's culinary skills now rivaled those of chefs in Michelin-starred restaurants, creating truly delightful meals.

Having tasted Daniel's cooking, Tony often dropped by for a meal.

Chinese cuisine has long spread worldwide. Although often modified, opening a Chinese restaurant in the West is rarely unprofitable.

Chinese takeout is very popular in New York, rivaling pizza.

However, Daniel couldn't get used to the Chinese food available here. He also couldn't understand adding milk and sugar to tea, making it undrinkable—it's not coffee.

"Just a moment," Daniel said, heading to the kitchen.

Stark had indeed brought a good gift: a holographic imaging system. Stark didn't know Daniel had AI; he intended the system for watching movies and improving the living environment.

Initially, Daniel had planned to obtain this system from Quentin Beck, who was fired from Stark Industries. Now, that was unnecessary.

Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio, caused quite a stir after Iron Man's death. But currently, he was just a scientist fired from Stark Industries.

There were many formidable scientists in the Marvel universe, and Quentin Beck was one of them. He invented the holographic imaging system and was fired from Stark Industries because of it.

After inventing the holographic imaging system, Beck's ego inflated. He dared to show off in front of Stark. Even when Stark pointed out the system's instability, Beck dismissed it as jealousy and was subsequently fired.

The holographic imaging system was indeed impressive, making Spider-Man look foolish years later. However, at this stage, it was unstable. It couldn't be used in games, and even Hollywood special effects would encounter issues.

Tony Stark's home and Daniel's could use the holographic imaging system only by compensating for its flaws with other equipment.

Large-scale application of the holographic imaging system was impossible. Not to mention the cost of the system and additional equipment was beyond the reach of most people.

Though Tony had a sharp tongue and an arrogant demeanor, his scientific approach was meticulous.

Unfortunately, Beck didn't believe this, thinking Tony was envious of his talent. He continued researching the holographic imaging system in secret and contacted many disgruntled former Stark Industries employees, forming an anti-Stark alliance.

Currently, this alliance was a joke.

Moreover, they didn't know they were being watched by Daniel.

When the time was right, Daniel wouldn't hesitate to eliminate the so-called Mysterio.

For now, Daniel didn't take action because these people were still useful. Despite being fired from Stark Industries, they were leaders in their fields. Without confidentiality agreements, many in the industry would want to hire them.

Extracting their value before eliminating them was the best course of action.
