Chapter 51: Hogwarts (Part 1)

"So, this is magic. Wingardium Leviosa." Daniel Davis set the magic book aside on the table and picked up the wand with his right hand, gently reciting the incantation. As he moved the wand, the feather on the table floated up and drifted around as he directed it.

Since it was the summer holidays at Hogwarts, Daniel hadn't immediately gone to start his position as the Muggle Studies teacher. Instead, he stayed in London to study magic through the books.

With Grindelwald, a wizard of Dark Lord caliber, nearby and his exceptional memory, Daniel's magic skills improved rapidly.

In just a few days, he had nearly completed the first-year Hogwarts curriculum, focusing primarily on charms, excluding subjects like Potions and Herbology.

Daniel's rapid progress was mainly due to his background as a Kamar-Taj sorcerer.

In the Harry Potter world, casting spells seems to require no visible magic circles, but they are indeed necessary, though unlike the visible ones used by Kamar-Taj sorcerers.

One significant challenge in learning these spells is shaping the magic, a concept Daniel had already mastered at Kamar-Taj.

All spells are essentially about shaping magic. Different spells involve different forms of shaping.

Focus, determination, and composure.

These three elements crucial for learning Apparition apply to all forms of magic.

For example, when using the Levitation Charm, you must believe you can make the object fly. If you don't think you can do it, the spell won't succeed.

The same goes for unlocking charms.

"This is what a true sorcerer looks like," Daniel remarked, casting the Aguamenti charm to conjure water into a cup, from which he took a sip.

Compared to Kamar-Taj sorcerers, who engage in close combat with weapons, the wizards in the Harry Potter world seemed more like traditional sorcerers.

Over this period, Daniel only learned a few spells: Levitation Charm, Unlocking Charm, Aguamenti, Scouring Charm, and Reparo.

For someone as lazy as Daniel, Scouring Charm and Reparo were practically divine abilities.

The reason he learned only these spells was that he primarily focused on dimensional magic. Restoring his ability to use portals and mirror dimension spells in this world was crucial for his survival.

While attuning to this world's dimensional space, Daniel realized that once he established a connection, his Kamar-Taj magic would become even stronger.

Dimensional magic truly requires crossing dimensions to become more powerful.

Moreover, establishing a connection with this world's dimensional space was an essential step for learning Apparition. Without this, he couldn't master Apparition.

Every world has its own rules, and so do the surrounding dimensional spaces.

Another reason was that he hadn't dedicated all his time to learning magic. With Grindelwald occasionally offering guidance and not questioning his plans, Daniel couldn't ignore the plan he had mentioned earlier.

Initially, Daniel's plan was a means to escape from Dumbledore and Grindelwald, but after days of investigation in London, he realized it might actually be possible to accomplish.

As he had previously said, worst case, he could build a spaceship and leave the planet.

Investigating the Muggle world was essential for his plan, and familiarizing Grindelwald with it was also necessary. So, over these days, Daniel took Grindelwald to various places in London.

They visited television stations, cinemas, schools, factories, and even witnessed some of the world's weapon capabilities.

The biggest issue with wizards is their reluctance to understand the Muggle world, even top wizards like Grindelwald.

"Who would have thought the Muggle world could understand magic like this," Grindelwald commented, conjuring a cup of water himself.

"Everything follows its own rules. Magic is just a way of mastering these rules earlier than ordinary people. As long as the Muggle world persists, they will eventually uncover everything." Daniel explained that the Aguamenti charm seemingly conjures water but actually manipulates hydrogen and oxygen in the air to create water.

Daniel had also visited university labs, buying top-tier equipment for this world, though it was outdated compared to what he usually carried. His advanced equipment wasn't suitable for public use.

Using these devices, Daniel demonstrated water synthesis to Grindelwald. Compared to magic, this method was cumbersome, but it showcased the power of technology to Grindelwald.

Most magical phenomena were hard to explain with technology, though Marvel's advanced science could account for a large portion.

For example, the Undetectable Extension Charm could be explained using Pym Particles.

Even partial explanations left Grindelwald astounded.

"Your first step is this." Grindelwald handed Daniel a newspaper, one that Daniel had recently purchased. Along with the newspaper, he had acquired a telephone company and a film company.

"Fear stems from the unknown. Once you unveil this layer of mystery, everything becomes clear." If this world developed to the level of his original world, even revealing magical schools like Hogwarts wouldn't cause much chaos.

People would rather believe they are Muggles than deny the existence of magic.

Fans even organized Quidditch matches. Though lacking the magical charm, these matches still drew interest.

Daniel intended to replicate these ideas. He had purchased a newspaper to publish magical-themed stories and hired novelists in London to write romance stories between wizards and Muggles.

Writing Harry Potter novels in the Harry Potter world.

Making Harry Potter movies in the Harry Potter world.

The thought made Daniel chuckle every time.

He genuinely considered this plan. After dealing with Voldemort, he might produce films with real wizards, making the special effects truly magical.

"Now, it's up to you to withstand the pressure from the wizarding world and give me the space to develop. This transformation will take at least ten years."

The wizarding world's Memory Charms were a significant obstacle. Large-scale Memory Charms, like Newt's in New York, could nullify all his efforts.

For Daniel, now armed with a wand and spells, the rest of the Harry Potter saga was optional. He could return to the Marvel world and continue learning at his own pace.

But that would be too dull.

In the Marvel world, Daniel had to keep a low profile due to the numerous powerful beings. However, in this world, once he established a connection with the dimensional space, few could threaten him.

Voldemort might be powerful, but Daniel didn't need to match his magic. A missile strike would suffice.

Even without missiles, a Gatling gun would do.

With the Undetectable Extension Charm, the ammunition problem was solved, making it feasible to wield a Gatling gun with endless ammo.

Given this, Daniel wanted to see if his plan could truly transform the world, finding great satisfaction in such an accomplishment.
