Chapter 504: Buster Call (Part 2)

"Six-Form Combat Technique, showdown." As soon as all the team members gathered, Hoot the Owl suddenly clasped his hands together and lunged at Kalifa, only for her to kick him off to Bruno's side.

Bruno then kicked Hoot the Owl himself, sending him flying toward Kaku, where Rob Lucci, Jabura, and Lion-Snuggle also rose, each giving Hoot a kick.

"How does it look?" Jabura asked eagerly as Hoot landed with his hands still clasped.

"Kalifa, 630 Doriki." Hoot the Owl listed everyone's Doriki values on the spot. Even among the CP9 members, a notable power gap existed between them.

The Doriki levels in Lucci's group fell into three ranges: Kalifa, Bruno, and the others had around 600-800; Kaku and Jabura each had over 2,000; and Lucci stood above them all with more than 4,000.

Kalifa was the weakest, while Lucci was the strongest.

"How is it possible? How did your Doriki increase so much?" Jabura glared at Kaku in frustration. He had long since given up competing with Lucci, but with Kaku—who had been weaker than him—now surpassing his Doriki, Jabura couldn't help feeling resentful.

Doriki, while not a complete measure of strength, was a ranking method used within the Navy and World Government to roughly gauge power levels.

Though pirates didn't use this ranking, within the World Government's CP units, Doriki level often determined both status and rewards.

"Hmph." Kaku gave Jabura a dismissive look and went to sit on a sofa nearby. If he were in better condition, he might have argued, but his severely injured arm made him unwilling to waste his breath.

"Combat strength isn't only about Doriki; Devil Fruit abilities also matter," Jabura sneered, watching Kaku. He extended his right hand, transforming it into a wolf's claw.

Jabura wielded the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Wolf. Combined with the Six Forms, this fruit greatly enhanced his power.

"Enough quarreling. A Doriki above 500 means you're all superhuman already."

"Wasn't our leader's Doriki around 9?"

As Daniel spoke, Kalifa promptly pointed out Spandam's weakness, revealing that his Doriki was even lower than a typical Navy grunt, who ranked around 10.

"It's not like I need to be on the front lines, anyway. Besides, this time Admiral Aokiji gave me this," Daniel replied, taking out the Golden Den Den Mushi. The sight of it made the CP9 members' pupils contract; as members of the intelligence unit, they knew very well how important the Golden Den Den Mushi was.

Just then, a call came through on the Den Den Mushi, and Daniel nearly pressed the button accidentally. The CP9 members all felt exasperated—if the Buster Call had been launched like that, it would have been the joke of the century.

"I almost feel like pressing it," Daniel thought, picking up the Den Den Mushi and listening to the panicked Navy report.

"Lord Spandam, pirates have invaded Enies Lobby!"

"If there's an invasion, just deal with it. Why bother me with such a minor issue?" Daniel hung up and tossed the Den Den Mushi aside to avoid further interruptions.

"Well, have you decided yet?" Daniel focused on Franky. He already knew from Robin what Pluton was—a battleship capable of destroying islands with a single blow. Since Pluton was merely seaborne and couldn't fly, Daniel quickly lost interest. After all, powerful individuals in this world could easily destroy islands, not to mention the Navy Admirals, who could perform similar feats.

Rumor had it that the Thousand Sunny was based on the blueprints of Pluton, as it was crafted by Iceberg and Franky together. This suggested that Gol D. Roger's crew may have also based their ship on Pluton's designs. Of course, this was only speculation. While the Sunny had displayed formidable capabilities, it hadn't yet demonstrated the power to destroy an island.

"Hmph." Franky snorted and looked away after hearing Spandam's question. Bruno responded by kicking him aside.

"Take your time. We have all day." When Bruno moved to punish Franky further, Daniel held him back.

His only goal now was to delay until the Straw Hat Pirates arrived so he could watch the spectacle of them fighting CP9.

"Everyone, you've come a long way. Some of you are still injured, so take some rest first. We'll head for the Gates of Justice tomorrow." As the highest authority on Enies Lobby, Spandam's orders went unchallenged.

Lucci found it strange that they wouldn't leave right away, but he didn't question it. He had little experience with Spandam, this being their first meeting due to his previous undercover work.

Only Jabura's group of three had met Spandam beforehand.

"Franky, I'm here to rescue you!" After the group had barely started resting, Luffy's shout echoed throughout Enies Lobby. Looking out a window, Daniel saw Luffy standing on top of the courthouse, shouting toward their location.

Enies Lobby was essentially two areas: the front and rear islands, connected by the Tower of Justice and the Bridge of Hesitation, linked by a steel bridge over an abyssal waterfall.

"Ignorance really is bliss." Daniel could only sigh at Luffy's recklessness. Only he could continue sailing the seas after defying both the World Government and attacking a Celestial Dragon. Anyone else who dared do the same would be either in Impel Down or six feet under by now.

"So, Bruno couldn't hold back after all." As the Straw Hat Pirates shouted, an Air Door opened behind Luffy, and Bruno stepped out.

"May Heaven spare him from 'Tekkai.'" Watching their fight, Daniel muttered. Luffy's combat instinct was truly impressive; although he previously couldn't match the speed of Soru, he had now adapted his rubber powers to imitate it.

When Luffy's entire body began to steam, signaling his Second Gear, Bruno's speed could no longer keep up, and even his Air Doors failed to reach him.

"So, Air Doors don't seem to harm people when opened on their bodies." Observing Bruno's attempt to open an Air Door on Luffy's head—resulting only in Luffy's head spinning a few times before returning to normal—Daniel gained an unexpected insight.

Bruno ultimately fell to Luffy's Tekkai Kenpo: Steel.

"It seems he was preparing to use Third Gear," Daniel murmured, noticing Luffy's earlier gesture of biting his finger.

"Everyone's here now, except Robin. And as for Usopp's disguise, who but Luffy could fail to recognize him?" Wearing a mask and claiming to be 'Sniper King'—did he really think others were as oblivious as Luffy?

"Alright, the show is about to begin." Seeing that the entire Straw Hat crew had arrived, Daniel brought out Franky, confronting Luffy's crew across the chasm of the waterfall.

"Did Bruno get weaker?" Jabura taunted upon seeing Bruno lying unconscious behind the Straw Hat crew.

Under Lucci's glare, though, Jabura quickly fell silent.

"Straw Hat Pirates, do you even realize where you are? This is Enies Lobby, the World Government's Judiciary Island, the very core of the world. That flag represents the will of over 170 allied nations under the World Government. For mere pirates to invade here… you must have a death wish." Daniel pointed at the flag on the Tower of Justice, arrogantly taunting.

In his absence, the pirate world had remained surprisingly calm, and he now relished using Luffy's actions to tear down Enies Lobby, destroying the World Government's flag along the way.

"Sniper King, burn it." Upon hearing Daniel's challenge, Luffy responded, picking his nose and instructing Sniper King to destroy the World Government flag.

"Understood." Sniper King promptly set the flag ablaze without hesitation.

"You've got guts! Lucci, take them down. I want all of them in Impel Down!" Daniel ordered Lucci to take action, his voice filled with malicious glee.

"Understood." Lucci, Jabura, Hoot the Owl, and Lion-Snuggle moved in sync, stepping forward with Moonwalk. CP9's strike force was ready, confident that the four of them would suffice, especially as Kaku was still recovering.

In CP9, everyone mastered the Six Forms. The weasel guy Nero, who only knew four, was just a replacement.

"Surrender Pluton's blueprints, or I'll eliminate everyone here to rescue you. But if you hand over Pluton, I might let them go," Daniel said to Franky after Lucci and the others had departed.

"If you want the blueprints, take these handcuffs off me first."

"Kalifa." At Daniel's signal, Kalifa quickly unlocked Franky's cuffs.

"Here are the blueprints for Pluton." Freed, Franky opened his chest compartment, pulling out a stack of blueprints.

"Hand it over!" Daniel shouted eagerly.

"As if I would," Franky growled, setting the blueprints on fire as flames shot from his palms, his backside inflating dramatically as though preparing to explode.

"You—" Daniel quickly retreated, and Kalifa and Kaku backed away as well, unwilling to face a suicidal explosion.

But Franky's 'explosion' turned out to be a joke; only his backside ignited, blasting him through the wall and sending

him plummeting from the Tower of Justice.

"Damn it! Go catch him!" Daniel yelled furiously.

"Now it's up to you. Make sure he dies dramatically." Once Kaku and Kalifa had left, Daniel summoned a Wood Clone, transforming it into Spandam.

"Now it's time for Akatsuki's debut." Daniel activated his Kamui Sharingan from the Op-Op Fruit and vanished from the room.

"The fights are pretty intense, but why doesn't anyone work together? Everyone prefers one-on-one." In the Shinobi world, team-based combat was standard, but in the world of pirates, even major battles like the Summit War tended to focus on duels.

Luffy fought Lucci; Sanji took on Jabura; Zoro faced Lion-Snuggle; and Nami, Sniper King, and Chopper teamed up against Hoot the Owl. Despite the strength gap, Hoot's personality and Chopper's transformations helped even the odds.

With four fights raging, they quickly tore down the courthouse roof, sending everyone falling. Daniel seized the opportunity to capture Bruno.

"Why couldn't he have triggered the Buster Call by accident?" As the fights reached their peak, Spandam's wails suddenly echoed over the intercom.

"It's not my fault. That cowardly intel officer startled me into pressing it. Anyway, so what if a few Navy grunts die? Sacrificing themselves for the glory of Spandam is an honor," Spandam's voice continued over the loudspeakers.

"Buster Call activated." As soon as the Golden Den Den Mushi was triggered, a Silver Den Den Mushi began ringing in a secret Navy base, mobilizing countless soldiers in a frenzy.

"Target?"

"Enies Lobby."

A towering Navy Vice Admiral boarded a warship and received the location. Ten warships, carrying nearly ten thousand marines, launched within ten minutes. Their speed was fitting for the elite force of the Buster Call.

"Buster Call."

Both the Navy on Enies Lobby and Franky's Family fell silent upon hearing of the Buster Call's activation. The Navy forces halted their attacks and rushed toward the island's exit.

The remaining members of Franky's Family also began retreating to the island's port, fully aware of the fatal consequences that awaited.
