Battle for Shuozhou Pass:Part 2

Lu Bu's POV

2 Days has passed after we've had had our meeting

We're finally here at the pass, overlooking at the walls that's blocking our way in

~Scoff~

I scoff at the bastard on top of those walls, as they stare blankly at us, as if we're merely a nuisance in their eyes

💢

Angry I turned around and ordered my men to make camp, and prepare for the upcoming siege tomorrow

"General Hou!"

I called out, as I jumped off my horse giving it to one of the men nearby to care for

After waiting for a while general hou finally arrived, garbed in Mongolian gear to help with infiltrating the gate easier

"At your command General"

"Hmm.., Good depart at once, for we attack at first light tomorrow"

He nods as he rode on his horse, and left to fulfill his task

Looking at his departing back for a minute, I turned around and barked order for my men to prepare siege ladder and hook carts for tomorrows siege

...

Gui's POV

It's been 3 weeks after we've enlisted

Looking at the various men scattered around, quickly trying to fix up their tents

I sighed, as tomorrow blood will be spilled whether it'd be ours or the enemies

"Hey! boss, don't just blankly stand there, help us with our tent"

"Yeah boss, help us out"

Hearing yun and somebody else call out to me, I turned around

What layed in front of my eyes were my 4 teammates, which included yun as well

Seeing them fumble around with the tents, not knowing what to do I sighed as I went and helped them biuld it

"So.., boss what do you think of our situation right now?"

One of my teammates asked

"Well.. if I'm being honest we're in a bad spot right now"

"Why do you say that?"

Asked yun confused, I then pointed at the Mongolian on top of the walls

"You should know that the Mongols shouldn't be able to attack us, since their land should currently be divided, no ruling party has unified them yet"

They nod understanding that known fact, but still confused they asked

"So what did that have to do with anything?"

~Sigh~

"It means that they have a new ruler, someone smart enough to exploit our carelessness to invade us"

Finally understanding the situation nod in appreciation

"Hah even if they're united, they still aren't a match for us"

One of my men arrogantly stated, as the others also agreed confidently

Sighing at their shallow thoughts, I turned my gaze to the Mongols at the pass, as a thought passed through my mind

'Their new ruler isn't simple at all, it's been a few years since their old ruler died, probably 7 years at best, but for a new one to emerge this fast"

After looking for a bit I shook my head

'Sigh.. well, no need to think about it"

Looking at my hand

'But.., if he becomes an obstacle in my path, then'

I clenched it hard, as a sharp glint covered my eye

'I'LL KILL HIM'

...

Lu Bu's POV

I stand firm a top my steed as I held my weapon, the Heavenly Piercer

Both my Generals stood by my side, as we look over at the gate we're about to attack

Seeing the first sign of light, I signalled for the attack to commence

As the sound of horns blasted over the surroundings, causing the 25k troops to finally start the siege

I looked towards General Wei

"Wei, take the front make sure you set up the siege ladder to scale the walls"

"As you command General"

"Song, take command of the Archers, make sure you kill as many dogs as you can, to lessen the burden at the front"

"It shall be done General"

Satisfied, I looked forward overlooking my army

"Go!.., make those dogs realise why it was a mistake trying invading our territory"

"Yes General"×2

After that they left to command they're respective armies

I stood still as the battle finally began

...

General Wei's POV

As I rode towards the front, I ordered for the shield bearers to go up front and the others to fall back, from the Mongols shooting range

As they carried out my order, I looked up at the tall walls as the enemies readied their bows

Narrowing my gaze at them, as I called out to my men

"Bring out the Hook carts and Siege Ladders, shield bearers turtle formation protect the cart carriers at all cost"

After that, my men started to move as the enemies, finally started to rain down arrow towards us

Which in turn, caused our own archers to fire at them as well

I look back, as I nod in the distance, at General Song in appreciation

Looking back on top of the walls, as enemies were killed left and right, but we weren't any better, as Mongols were typical better archers than us on a large margin

Luckily, we're better equipped than they were, so we've eventually hit a stalemate on both sides

As I observe the siege engines being pushed

The walls were finally in range of the hook carts, the hooks were then engaged, as they attached on to the parapets of the wall

After that, the turtle formation of the shield bearers were disengaged, as they quickly took hold of the rope attached to the hook and pulled hard, bringing with it the parapets it's attached to

They then quickly re-engage their formation to not get pelted by arrows, as 20 or so openings were made for the siege ladder to be placed

And just as the Ladder were almost touching the walls, they relise too late the fast moving boulders that were headed towards the ladder, some missed but it still hit the soldiers pushing it from behind

Causing either their heads to explode as bits and pieces scatter around the surrounding soldiers, or for them to suffer from brocken limbs or shattered torsos

Shocked at what transpired, I looked up as multiple buff Mongolian men carried fist size boulders in their hands, as they throw them at the soldiers below, killing multiple men at once

Calling for a soldier nearby to give him an order

"Tell General Song to focus their fire on the Mongols throwing boulders"

Saluting the soldier then left to carry out the task i gave him

A couple of minutes later, the rain of arrows shifted its targets to the ones throwing the boulders

Causing for my men to continue on pushing the ladder even closer

"Jian units and Dao units, get ready to confront the enemies"

I called out the the 2 units as they readied their weapons

As the Ladders finally hit the walls

I signalled for my troops to charge toward the walls, as I've had it with their archers, since I've lost so many men because of them

"ATTACK!!, KILL them all!!"

And so both units charged, as a strong bloodlust emitted from their figures

Seeing this, I jumped down my horse, as I too joined in the attack to satisfy my urge in killing those damn dogs

Holding on to my Dao with a crazed smile, I ran towards the walls

Intended to cause a massacre
