Chapter-14: I've been defending you

After a while, the girl who complained just now brought her parents over. Her face was more arrogant and smug than before, as if she had come to see how Caroline was being punished.

"I'm too busy to stay here. You'd better get it over with."

"Of course." The principal looked at the time, a little impatient. Just as everyone is waiting to see Caroline's joke, suddenly the office door is pushed open, and everyone felt a powerful pressure. A pair of long straight legs came in. People saw who was coming. . ! . That is! Darrion. ! Almost instantly everyone froze. What's their relationship? Why call the parents Darrion would come over. But they don't dare ask.

Sabella widened her eyes and hurried forward. "This is all a misunderstanding," she said, "And Caroline didn't do it on purpose." But Darrion didn't even look at Sabella. His concerned gaze fell on Caroline, and he walked straight towards her, whispering, "Are you hurt?"

Caroline shook her head. "They're weak."

How dare you! The girl who had been hit shouted, "Dad, mom, look at my wrist. It's all bruised. It shows how hard she used just now!" Her parents did not react at all. They dare not speak. No one dared offend Darrion, who can buy a company with one word. The principal asked weakly, "Well, this should be just a misunderstanding, how about..."

"It's not a misunderstanding. They started it!" Darrion glanced at the principal. "Apologize, or..."

Under pressure from all sides, the girl reluctantly apologized to Caroline.

"I'm sorry! Is that enough?"

"That's it! Please be smarter next time! Don't be used again! Get Away from me! I have a temper!"

The girl remembered something. She turned and quarreled with the other girls.

Caroline didn't want to stay and watch them fight, so she pulled Darrion away. They walked right past Sabella. Looking at the two holding hands, Sabella went crazy with jealousy.

Caroline and Darrion were walking hand in hand. If Darrion wasn't wearing a suit, they'd look like a couple dating on campus.

Then a small figure ran towards them.

"Hey, here's a cell phone. I found it!" Cornell followed the housekeeper to pick up Coleka from school. He handed Caroline the cell phone he found at the charity event. He knew it was Kyle's phone.

"Here!" He wanted to call Caroline stupid. Because she was always ungrateful to their sister and brother, Sabella played a fool. Caroline was about to take it when a big hand got there first.

"Confiscated."

"Well, you can have it if you want. I'll just throw it in the trash anyway." Cornell looked at the two of them as they prepare to leave.

"Wait, Where's your sister?"

"My sister doesn't want to see you, and I'm the only one who wants to see you, because I'm a kid and I don't care!" Cronell said and ran away.

Caroline smiled helplessly and turned to Darrion. "Do you mind, after all the stupid things I've done?"

Darrion, put the phone away. He lowered his head and reached out to ruffle Caroline's hair as was his wont. But before he could touch her hair, he pulled back his hand. Caroline grabbed his hand and put it on her head.

"I like it." Darrion looked surprised and smiled. "Of course not!"

For a moment, Caroline felt something grab her heart and made her feel sweet and happy. So she mustered up her courage and asked a question that had been on her mind for a long time.

"A good-for-nothing like me? Why are you defending me like this?" She stared at Darrion, not wanting to miss a single expression on his face. Two people look at each other, as if to remember each other's sincere appearance.

The expression on his face was now extremely soft. The warmth in his eyes seemed to drown Caroline. "So, you know I've been defending you?"
