Chapter 7: "So I'll Reluctantly Eat the Gura Gura no Mi"

Blackbeard, who was embarrassed and confused about what to do with the Gura Gura no Mi, suddenly turned his head and asked Karl.

"Eh... no."

Nonsense, if I were a Devil Fruit user, would I be in such a situation?

"That's great, really great, Zehahahaha."

"Let me tell you, how can such a powerful fruit be wasted?"

Upon hearing Karl's confirmation, Blackbeard immediately burst into laughter and after a while said, "How about you, brother, take on that stinky old man's ability?"

"How's that? Karl, I'll get it and you eat it!"

"It's known as the strongest Paramecia fruit with the power to destroy the world. It's definitely worthy of you, who has the qualifications of a King. Only if you eat it, I won't feel it was a waste!"

Blackbeard is generous. After fully targeting Baku Baku no Mi, he will directly give Gura Gura no Mi to Karl!

And this is also Blackbeard's advantage. He uses interests to bind people's hearts. He's absolutely generous with his subordinates and not stingy at all.

Otherwise, how could he, who originally was among pirates, reach the top of the Yonko and keep all those monsters?

All those pirates who have great ambitions and are like a group of alpha wolves together?

How to bind them all if not because he can give up great benefits and be generous with the subordinates?

"Gura Gura no Mi?"

Upon hearing this, Karl didn't have much reaction on the surface, but he couldn't find peace in his heart. After all, it was a terrifying power that could shatter the sea, the void, and the earth!

If you say you don't want it, it's pure lie and simply absurd!

"It's not impossible, this fruit is excellent and it's a pity to waste it."

"Since you mention it, Teach, I'll reluctantly eat it!"

No matter how uneasy his heart is, Karl's superficial skills are absolutely in place and he really seems reluctant...

Blackbeard didn't pay much attention to Karl's artificial declaration.

After hearing Karl's consent, this guy didn't know what medicine he took and went straight into a daydreaming frenzy...

"The qualifications of a King along with the terrifying Gura Gura no Mi, Zehahahahaha, this vice-captain of mine, simply a monster!"

"How does that bastard Shanks compare to me? My right hand alone could crush him!"

"Isn't it King's Haki? Maybe I, Teach, don't have it, but my nakama does!"

I don't know how much Blackbeard hates Shanks, the two-faced guy in the pirate world. They're so far apart that they can brush off the hate with their own imagination...

Karl was speechless seeing this scene!

Karl said, "Isn't this friend of mine a daydreamer, then you're done pretending, right?

Also, it seems like we haven't received anything yet, right? What are you doing to yourself?"

"Teach, where are we going? We're not going back to the New World, are we?"

Unable to see it, Karl spoke up and pulled Blackbeard out of his dark state.

"Wait..."

"Don't go back, that Ace guy, sooner or later he'll be here!"

"I feel like the guy who's been chasing me all along is that guy, and in the New World, I almost got caught once."

"At that time, we weren't very far apart. Although I couldn't see the appearance of the person chasing me, I felt the same hot breath as that guy!"

"And with that Ace's character, knowing that I was a member of his crew and I killed Thatch, I'm afraid he won't let it go, Zehahahaha!"

"We're here, just wait for him to fall into the net. If he doesn't come, it won't be too late for us to go back to the New World!"

Blackbeard's IQ suddenly connected and the analysis was simple. This time Karl agreed with the decision.

Although he had the God's view, Karl knew that the person chasing Blackbeard was Ace.

(T/N: He refers to knowing the plot and thus calls it "God's view", Chinese things)

However, he couldn't tell it directly to Blackbeard, otherwise, it would be too revealing and he might even suspect him.

But not letting Blackbeard know this information would be very problematic. If you really want to go back to the New World, it won't be an action to capture Ace...

So it's very appropriate to return and send people's heads!

(T/N: He refers to if Karl and Teach try to catch Ace in the New World, Whitebeard will know such event easier and move, then they'll be toast)

Now that Blackbeard can handle it on his own, it couldn't be better.

Next, they can wait for Ace to fall into the net in the first half of the Grand Line. All plans will proceed naturally and there will be no risks!

"Let's go to the Sabaody Archipelago first, and we'll be here during the first half. How can we not go for a walk?"

"As the most prosperous place in the first half of the Grand Line, there are many opportunities there, Zehahahaha!"

"Maybe I'll meet some pirates who meet the requirements for the Shichibukai position and by the way, take their heads."

"This way, even if you can't catch Ace, you can go to Impel Down to look for some nakamas in exchange for the head of the guy we deliver."

"Whatever happens, you and I won't be lost!"

After accepting Karl's plan, Blackbeard quickly turned his head, thought of all the possibilities, and devised solutions for these gaps.

I must say, success isn't really accidental. It's quite a challenge for this product to reach that position!

Upon hearing this, Karl nodded.

He had no objection to the path Blackbeard had laid out. Before Ace's arrival, Karl didn't know what to do. Following Blackbeard's route, he could observe how he had risen to the top. It was a sudden change and Karl wasn't aware of all the details of the event.

Karl understood that, if he didn't interfere, they would surely follow the path the original pirates would have taken. With this idea in mind, the small group of the two headed towards the Sabaody Islands on a rickety raft.

The deserted island where they were before wasn't far from the Red Line. The Sabaody Islands served as a vital connection between the first half of the Grand Line and the New World, besides being close to the Red Line.

Although they didn't have navigators in their team, they relied on their basic navigation skills to follow the Red Line without getting lost.

After twelve days.

They arrived at the most prosperous archipelago in the first half of the Grand Line. Each island had its own essence, but Island No. 1-29 stood out for its slave auctions and chaotic atmosphere. It was a meeting point for many pirates looking to venture into the New World.

It's precisely because of the extremely sensitive place of the population auction market that the people who frequent here are the largest in the entire archipelago!

In the bustling street of Island No. 1, Karl and Blackbeard sat in an outdoor bar, each with a bottle of rum. Conversation and laughter flowed between them.

"Teach, damn it, you're really broke!"

"Do you really have to haggle with people to buy two bottles of rum? It's too absurd!"

"It can't be! The situation is really tough now," said Blackbeard with a playful tone, causing Karl to roll his eyes.

But before Karl could start complaining, Blackbeard decided to take the initiative and said with a smile, "Karl, I know you're not short of money, so you'll pay for the next rounds of drinks."

"Shouldn't it be you who invites your great captain to drink, right?, Zehahahahaha," added Blackbeard humorously.

"Me? Of course not!" replied Karl with a complicit smile.

As he looked at the mischievous smile on Blackbeard's face, Karl said he was speechless, the clown is actually himself!

"Humble humans, your supreme god is here, why don't you kneel to greet him? Do you want to die?!"

Just as Karl and Teach were joking with each other, a loud shout broke the street's hustle and bustle, attracting the attention of everyone around.
