Chapter 13

There's an organizational issue to be resolved. How exactly to hand these men weapons and take them to the place of the fight. His little experience of the last hours showed that blood was the main value, and therefore the latter was even more important than weapons.

He had not been away for long, but Alexei Gennadyevich could well begin to sway people to his side in that time. Alexander had never doubted him as a leader. Now it was not clear what he would encounter on his return to the camp.

Things might have to be dealt with by force. He really didn't want to do that, he realized that in his old life he had despised such people, but that was the way it had to be done now. Never before had he thought it would suddenly become important to him to be responsible for so many people and look out for their welfare.

Running in his own footsteps was surprisingly easy - the smell of fresh urine was easily distinguishable in the cacophony of forest odors. The time spent running gave him a chance to think things over.

He could now choose between several options. But he still didn't know what to do, and his destination was getting closer and closer.

Fate had decided for him. As it turned out, after his departure for reconnaissance, the disputes in the camp had not ceased, although they had passed into the stage of conversations between individuals, rather than shouting into the crowd.

Alexander Gennadyevich expectedly began to press with the authority of the chief and to induce everyone, and especially his subordinates, to accept his point of view. Moving from group to group, he quietly but persistently pushed his idea through. Those who supported Alexander at the meeting, gathered together began to discuss further actions without waiting for the return of the scout.

Demonstrated capabilities and obvious superiority of those who drank the blood of the wolf over the still hungry vampires, gave them only one decision: scouting is good, but hunting is the most important. Olga and Eugene were especially insistent on that. They, who had not yet tasted blood, needed it not only to equal their new associates, they were simply hungry.

That's why a dozen people, having informed the others that they would leave for a while, but they would not go far from the others, and would just wander around the neighborhood, left the point where they had been thrown by unknown forces.

Alexey Gennadyevich was even glad of such an outcome of his opponents and did not fail to notice "that the main loudmouths, it turns out, like to shirk their work", but in his heart he simply exulted over the obvious mistake of the people who had challenged his authority.

Alexander met the impromptu hunters at the place where he had climbed the tree and where he had first urinated, thus leaving a mark. As ridiculous as it was, it was his urine that caught the group's attention.

At first they reasoned that it was not a good idea to go in the same direction as the scout: he would have caught the animals he had encountered, so they took a little to the side. But first Sergei and then the others smelled urine and decided to see if they needed any help.

To say that they were surprised at Alexander's appearance was to say nothing. He didn't look any better himself, his eyes betrayed a completely dazed man. He hadn't expected such a gift from the goddess of luck. When the mutual scrutiny was over, Alexander sat down sharply on the ground.

- Guys, we're totally screwed.

- No, well, being naked vampires in the forest - it's so, seeds, - Oleg laughed openly - It turns out you can be even more fucked up than this.

- Don't be sarcastic, Oleg. It is possible to be in more.

- And how is that?

- We're in another world.

The statement was met with silence. No, of course, everyone realized that their comrade is not joking. And people don't just become bloodsuckers like that. Though who had ever heard of a human becoming a vampire until now? But another world? The idea did not want to settle in his head.

Oleg, who had been mocking Alexander a moment ago, was the first to wake up:

- How do you know this?

- I met people. Two groups. They fought each other. I finished off the victor. I drank the blood. Just like with the wolf. I got all the people's lives and all their memories. True, the blood of the first man, or rather his memories, I digested for a long time, then it became easier, - apparently from excitement Alexander reported in short, understandable phrases, - This is a different world.

- Are you sure it's a different world? - Semyon approached Alexander and pulled out a sword from a bundle, -Maybe we fell into the past?
