Everdawn (2)

Andy looked around for the player. While they were following him in the forest they lost track of him. However, after a bit, they heard an explosion so they ran in the direction from where it came from.

As they approached from where the explosion came from they heard a scream from the right. Quickly turning to the side they looked to find their friend Andrew being burned to death.

They were shocked thus leading to another one being burned to death.

"Shit run!" Hearing Jake yell Andy also started running away from the thing that was killing them. Before they could run a few meters a loud explosion occurred killing Jake. Seeing this Andy's eyes had widened.

In the next second, Andy rolled to the side Dodging the staff aimed at his back. However, he wasn't in the clear.

"Explode"

Following those words was an explosion causing Andy to roll backward a few times. As he looked up a message caught his eye.

[-34 HP]

"Tsk,"

Looking up he saw a person with black hair and crimson-red eyes clicking his tongue. In his hands was a staff revealing his class to be a [Magician].

Drawing his sword Andy took a stance. While it wasn't a great stance he knew he had the advantage here. Andy had read about Everdawn from the beta testers. From his knowledge mages in the beginning were pretty weak which was due to their weak defenses and lack of mobility.

With his [Dash] skill he knew he had the advantage. Quickly using his skill he appeared in front of the mage in an instant and brought his sword down. However, the next second a blue transparent barrier appeared blocking his attack.

[-3 HP]

Using his skill again he quickly backed away before the mage could use his spell.

'He must have the fireball spell'

It made sense.

He was able to quickly kill the rest of his friends considering mages didn't start with movement skills.

And from what he could infer the mage also had the [Magic Barrier] skill. Moving in a zig-zag pattern with his dash skill which allowed Andy to appear in front of the mage in a flash.

However, as he appeared in front of the mage he noticed the staff pointing somewhere else. His face paled as saw where the gem on the staff was pointing.

'Crap'

Trying to activate his skill a flood of notifications appeared in front of him

[You're out of stamina!]

[You can not use the skill [Dash]!]

[You're out of stamina!]

[You can not use the skill [Dash]!]

[You're out of stamina!]

[You can not use the skill [Dash]!]

"Explode,"

Hearing that Andy's face went pale.

*BOOM*

***

Looking at the pixellating corpse that was in front of me a refreshed smile appeared on my face.

[Dash] itself was a pretty overpowered skill however, it took a lot of your stamina. That's why this glitch was so broken as mages didn't have a stamina bar so we could just spam the skill non-stop.

But that also meant I needed to be careful as if the word got around then the skill would be removed.

I wouldn't be punished as it was a glitch in the system and wasn't a hack I had installed which didn't violate any of their terms of service and stuff like that. But it would still impact some of my future points

[You've Leveled up!]

[You've Leveled up!]

Nodding to myself I put the staff on my shoulder and started to walk "Now let's start leveling up,"

Quickly opening my status window I distributed my stats points which I had just earned.

Looking at my stuff I was surprised "Those dumbasses didn't buy any starter supplies?"

As that thought came to mind a certain idea hit me.

'Yeah that could work'

The idea wasn't exactly hard but it wasn't simple either. What I lacked right now was money to buy some of my future upgrades. Now I could wait for the money feature to be added in a year however, by that time I'd probably be living with my parents who'd nag me to get a job.

And I didn't want that.

However, what was hard was actually selling the book. Now it could be hard and people might think of it as a scam but I guess I could make alt accounts and spread the word.

But I'd work on that later cause right now I needed to level up.

"But first let's get some supplies,"

As I made my way back to the village I couldn't help but let out a sigh as I looked at my stats. The reason for my sigh was that there was no agility stat which is why we needed magic boots or spells that helped in the increase of speed. Mages or any magic class didn't have any agility state well other than Warlock.

However, if the Sub-Class was a combat type that you could add combat skills like [Dash] and you'd get a stamina bar as well but you could also get an agility stat. But they did have limits that you couldn't cross like getting S-tier skills.

Now there were some sub-classes that were overpowered but there was one that was overpowered as hell.

And that was the [Darkness Magician].

However, I wasn't going to take it even though it did help with my fighting style and that was because I was planning on getting something that was claimed by one of the top rankers in the previous timeline.

However, for that I needed to be at a high level to even think about starting that quest.

'Speaking of quests I might as well get some quests done while leveling'

Actually there was a quest board that many players overlooked as the beta testers "forgot" to include that information.

But there were still a few quests that you could take by saying a few trigger words.

Making my way to a large building I entered and went toward the quest board. I accepted a quest that was for killing some wolves which was simple. However, I didn't go into the forest straight away.

Instead, I made my way to a smithy.

When I entered the place a warm gust of wind hit me.

*TING*

*TANG*

*TING*

*TANG*

Ignoring the heat I followed the sound until I made it to a forge. There a small human-like creature was working.

*TANG*

Every time the hammer struck the sword a loud noise could be heard. I waited and after a while, the dwarf stopped what he was doing and dipped the hot iron into the water to cool the metal.

After inspecting it for a bit the dwarf was about to leave, however, he noticed me and became startled before slowly walking back.

This reaction should've been expected as I had killed 4 people. This caused a mark to be placed beside my name. This would cause some of the NPCs to be startled or have a negative opinion of me.

He grabbed his hammer before speaking "Oi what do ya want?"

I then bowed "Hello Mr. Flet, I am here to buy some of your excellent magical equipment"

To get this quest you would say "Magical Equipment". The quest itself was simple. The dwarf in front of me Flet had his magic equipment stolen by a group of goblins. This would trigger the quest allowing you to get some equipment for free.

Just as I had seen before Flet's face contorted "I be sorry to tell ya this but my equipment has been stolen"

However, as if getting a bright idea Flet's eyes sparkled "Tell me lad do you want some free equipment?"
