37. Indo - Sino war 2

1962, Bharat

Tension has been high in the government since the news of a possible war with China has been released. It has not been revealed to all the government, actually it has kept all hush hush and only the important ministries are told of the situation and even their it has not been spread in the department but only among the top and most crucial employees.

We have secretly sent an envoy to the top powers of the world other than USSR who is likely going to stay neutral in this conflict. US has shown it's willingness to help and has secretly supplied us many advanced weapon to help our war effort but declined to get directly involved in the conflict.

Well their army would have led to only casualties as their land army is shit. Evidence is Vietnam war and Afghanistan war of my time. Lost in both with high casualties and would happen same in mountainous region of Kailash, Shaila (2 new states of made from Tibet), Jammu & Kashmir and Myanmar.

US has also agreed to supply us a squadron of 3rd generation jets, guns and light weight artillery and missiles. And that reminds me Bharat has to make its own long range missiles and soon. Well for that I have kept a close eye on Bhartiya universities in South India and BSRO (Bhartiya Space Research Organisation) for 2 talents APJ Abdul Kalam and Nambi Narayan.

Seriously, building weapons for a developing country and that too the most precious piece of land on Earth is a hectic and costly task. Specially when we need every kind of weapons and defence equipment in the world ,and better if it is made indigenously so that we don't have to depend on any country, so that no country can pressure us in any way.

RAW and SHIELD has been put on high alert for information gathering and countering naxalites. According to the data collected Chinese airforce is still very weak in comparison to India, especially against the new squadron of 3rd generation jets that we recently bought from USA.

We have completed our preparation for war in these 4 years. China initiated many small skirmishes during this time but we were prepared for it. Things continued like this for the first half of the year.

But finally on 20th October 1962, Chinese army crossed the border and attacked Indian soldiers. Well this time we did not just allot small forces but a significant portion of our army.

Chinese army was welcomed with a hail of bullets and tank shells flying towards them. Within a day of Chinese army crossing border the news was spread to every strong and influential country in the world and then from next Bharat started there movement.

The resistance in East Turkestan came out and started trying to liberate the Turkestan and was immensely helped by Bhartiya Army. Within a week Bhartiya Army entered in Turkestan and started helping making a nation out of Turkestan.

In this period the leader ETIM or simply TIM, Hasan was safely transported to Bharat and talks started regarding border disputes. He agreed to the current borders and signed that he does not have any claim over Ladakh region.

Similiar things happened in China Occupied Yunnan and with the help of Indian army the government declared independence and the army of Yunnan, which is kept seprate from Chinese army, soon agreed after to support the government's decision.

Seeing that China is losing its territory one after another Mongolia, with whom we have been in secret talks for help in this war in exchange for getting back their land occupied by China, agreed to support us and launched an attack on South Mongolia.

Our deal was only that they will attack South Mongolia, defeat the Chinese army there and take their land back. They will not do anything else.

Seeing this the rebels in Manchuria get emboldened and started a strong movement there as well.

China soon started regretting there decision to attack Bharat to stabilise their government as with 3 weeks of starting their attack they have lost 3 territories and if things keep going on like like this they will lose a fourth territory as well.

In the fourth week of attack, Manchurian rebels took over government buildings and declared it an independent country as well and Chinese army on Manchuria - Mongolia border has been facing attacks from China. We also recognised all 3 states as an independent nation in UAO and UN.

China regretting there decision to attack Bharat finally called for a cease fire after pressure from UN after a month since the war started on 21st November 1962.

China as the initiator of war has to pay heavy remuneration to Bharat, recognise the 3 new nations, new borders of Mongolia and give up it's claim on Ladakh, Tibet and NEFA.

With this the first Indo - Sino war ended with a defeat of China and all the projects which were put on hold due to war were started with a renewed speed.

Seeing the problem in distribution of supplies to army and lack of efficiency a new ministry was formed, Efficiency Ministry. This will check where there are need for jobs, allocation of appropriate funds for government projects, check the work performed by government officials etc and will have the power to fire employs. The complain boxes of all government were put under them as well.

Seeing the lack of development in defense market it was decided that it will be allowed for private industries to enter in this field but the government will have a 30 percent stake in all such companies and if the weapons are to be exported they will need government authorisation and government will act as middle man.

Seeing the rising pollution on the streets and taking inspiration from the city of Indore and the country Japan, it was made a law that children above age of 10 will clean the classroom and corridors on a roll number basis. Same was applied in government offices and even ministers have to do this.

At the same time the course for students was also changed, instead of just making them learn, they were also taught spiritual things like meditation, how to tackle heart break etc. to decrease the suicide rate among students in future and things like how to be succesful, how to develop skills, make money, investing, etc. The course was made more practical than theoretical.

During this time DRDO was succesful in making a solar panel on it's own and sold the patent to an Indian company in exchange for discount on government sale and royalty. Solar panels were put on all the government buildings and offices and were heavily promoted. Even a subsidy of 10 percent was put on electricity bill for first year for those who have installed solar panel along with the subsidy on installation.
