Sitting in the back, Horus and Jakoff glanced at each other and smiled. Today was a perfect day to implement their schemes on Aelarion. The smirk on Horus's face deepened as he looked at Aelarion. "He simply doesn't know his place!" He muttered to himself. "This is an opportunity to teach him a lesson."
As nobles from a prominent family, the cousins, Jakoff and Horus had always thought themselves to be above their peers and fully deserving of utmost respect and deference. Their arrogant and overbearing ways were known in the cities as they often bullied those of lesser standing. The long heritage of their family in magic and as nobles had provided several advantages for them.
For example, they had inherited devious combat spells and they were itching to try them on Aelarion. They were sure that the combat spells would give them an absolute edge over Aelarion irregardless of any amount of potential or talent that he possessed.
