Chapter 35 Misunderstandings Galore

It turned out that even a rundown basement could withstand bombing as long as the bombs didn't fall directly overhead.

When the air raid siren ceased its warning, Li Yian emerged from the basement, greeted by the acrid smell of gunpowder. In the distance, a building was ablaze, people ran through the streets, calling out for loved ones, and the wails of ambulance and fire truck sirens filled the air.

All of this wasn't much different from when he first arrived in Britain a month ago. The only difference?

Back then, after his transmigration, he was not only lost but also carried with him the traditional Chinese traits of poverty.

But now?

Not only was he no longer lost, but he was filled with ambition for the future, and rich... especially rich!

Standing on the roadside, looking at the scene before him, reminiscent of doomsday, Li Yian took a cigarette from his pack, weighed it in his gold cigarette case, and lit it. The smoke mingled with the scent of gunpowder... quite refreshing.

British people, well, it wouldn't be a loss even if they died!

But among the British, there were also good people, like Stana.

Although there were some misunderstandings between him and that woman at first, but now... hmm, it was quite good!

With that in mind, Li Yian realized that he hadn't visited Stana since returning from the US. Thinking of her, the image of her tall legs immediately came to mind, stirring something within him.

So he immediately turned to head to her house.

After unlocking the door with his key, Li Yian smelled the aroma of steak coming from the kitchen. Looking at the opened bottle of red wine on the table, a smile tugged at his lips as he thought.

"This woman sure knows how to enjoy herself."

Steak, red wine, all brought from the US last time. He didn't have to worry about the beef spoiling in his storage space.

Quietly walking to the kitchen, he saw a woman in silk pajamas, her dress barely concealing her exaggerated curves. Admiring her tempting figure, Li Yian walked over and embraced her from behind, kissing her neck and collarbone, his hands not staying still.

"Darling, missed me?"

The woman's body stiffened, seemingly unable to react, standing there woodenly. While Li Yian, with his eyes closed, continued to kiss her neck and collarbone, moving his hands up and down, which surprised him.

"Darling, you seem a bit different after a few days of absence..."

She seemed to have shrunk in size... there seemed to be something not quite right!

"Ah!"

A sudden scream made Li Yian open his eyes, only then did he realize that the woman in his arms wasn't Stana, but another woman. Though very beautiful... he got the wrong person.

Both of them almost simultaneously asked.

"Who are you... huh."

Accompanying the woman's question was a soft moan. This made Li Yian quickly withdraw his hands from where they shouldn't have been.

Looking at the disheveled woman, Li Yian couldn't help but glance over her body. Who was this person? How did she get here?

Damn it... did I enter the wrong room?

"Darling, is the steak ready?"

Just then, the voice behind him made Ji Li hurriedly straighten her clothes, the sash around her waist making it even more spectacular. Feeling the man's gaze, Ji Li couldn't help but feel a surge of anger.

Who is this man...?

How could he do this? How did he get in?

Just as she was filled with questions in her heart,

Suddenly, a fragrant breeze swept in, and Stana immediately rushed into Li Yian's arms,

"Darling, you're back from America..."

It's him!

He's actually Chinese!

But, he's really handsome!

And his skin looks healthy, completely different from the miserable pallor of the British people with tuberculosis.

Ji Li's gaze kept shifting between Stana and her lover. God knows how complex her mood was right now.

Not only because of the man's inappropriate behavior just now, touching her so inappropriately, but more importantly... he was really handsome!

As she muttered in her heart, she heard the noises outside, and she couldn't help but regret why she came to the kitchen.

In fact, for the entire night that followed, she lived in regret. The whole night, like the German bombings, never stopped.

And they even talked about her.

Oh my God!

God clearly didn't hear her prayers, and it wasn't until dawn that it finally quieted down...
