Grandma

As Riley and I walked in silence, I tried to calm the storm of emotions brewing inside me. My anger at Ciara for her inappropriate behavior lingered, but I knew I had to compose myself. I glanced over at Riley, who was walking slightly ahead of me, her body language stiff and unapproachable.

"Sorry for my sister," I said, my voice tight with frustration. Riley just nodded curtly, not even looking back at me. She picked up her pace, putting more distance between us. I sighed heavily, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on me. "That woman is complicated," I muttered under my breath.

Once we reached the castle, Riley immediately went her own way, leaving me standing there, feeling a mix of helplessness and anger.
