I need to talk to my sister

As we got dressed, Seraphine turned to me with a serious expression. "We should go back to my castle now."

I paused, my hands stilling as I pulled my shirt over my head. The intimacy of last night had left me conflicted, torn between my physical desire for Seraphine and the unresolved anger and grief over Jade's death. I couldn't deny the connection between us, but returning to her castle felt like a step I wasn't ready to take.

"I don't know if that's a good idea," I said cautiously. "I mean, we haven't really talked about... everything."

Seraphine's eyes softened, and she stepped closer, reaching out to gently touch my arm. "Riley, I understand. But we need to figure this out together. We can't just keep avoiding it."

I looked down, biting my lip. "It's not just that. I don't think I can face everyone there, knowing what happened."
