I stomped away from the disgustingly happy couple, jealousy and anger rising within me, burning a hole in my chest.

Because it was obvious to me, as I was sure that it was obvious to everyone else, that they were interested in each other. I had higher hopes when I had heard of Bryson, but it appeared he was just as weak as every other man.

"What a joke," I whispered to myself as I continued to walk away.

Yet I couldn't help but make sure that my butt was swaying just perfect with every step I took. My beauty was another weapon of mine, and I was just as skilled at using it as I was hand-to-hand combat.

I had no other choice growing up with my father.
