The Beautifully Tragic: A Steddie Romance

Steve cautiously walks to the bathroom door, bat ready to strike whoever is in his bathroom. He quietly opens the door, and throws open the shower curtain. Eddie turns to him and gives him a slight smirk. "Hello big boy. Are you so happy to see me that you brought extra wood along?" Eddie says eying the bat Steve is carrying. Steve lets the bat fall from his fingers as he stands there staring at Eddie. "Are you going to join me, big boy? Plenty of room for two." Eddie asks him stepping back to make room. Steve practically throws himself at Eddie, grabbing him and kissing him passionately, not even caring that the only suit he owns is getting soaked. All that matters now is Eddie is back. Eddie gently esses back, a soft smile on his face. ,,"Let's get you out of that wet suit before we continue this." Steve throws off the wet suit jacket and Eddie rips open Steve's shirt, sending buttons flying. Steve quickly removes his pants tossing them somewhere on the floor. He leans in, kissing Eddie, clinging to him as if he were afraid he would lose Eddie again if he let go. Eddie gently presses Steve against the shower wall, arms around Steve's waist, tongue tangling with his. He breaks the kiss, and Steve faces the shower wall. Steam fills the bathroom, as they both reach extreme heights of ecstasy together. Steve leans against the shower wall, panting hard, chest rising and falling. Eddie reaches over and turns the water off. He then gets a couple of towels, handing one to Steve. Steve accepts the towel, and studies Eddie's chest as he dries off. He sees the scars on Eddie's chest, made from the demobat bites. Eddie sees where Steve's eyes are focused on and smiles. "Don't worry. They don't hurt. I'm completely healed. You didn't think you'd get rid of me that easily, did you?" Steve grabs Eddie in a tight hug, burying his face into Eddie's shoulder. Eddie's hands rub gently up and down his back. They stay that way for several minutes, neither wanting to let go of the other.

They eventually break apart to get dressed. As they're dressing, Eddie looks at Steve. "I should probably discreetly let the others know I'm back among the land of the living. I also need to see my uncle. They deserve to know I'm still around." Steve nods. "I'll give the others a call and have them meet us here. I won't tell them why so they'll be surprised. As for your uncle, we'll have to discreetly get you to his house. We can't have anyone else knowing you're alive until we can prove you're innocent. I'm not going to lose you again, Eddie." Eddie nods, smiling a little sadly. "I die for this town, and they still want to crucify me. Unbelievable. I guess I really did live up to that Munson name." Steve grabs Eddie, pulling him to him. "We will show this whole fucking town that they're wrong about you. You said to me outside of d&d you are no hero. You're wrong. The person I saw that day in the upside down, who died for this town, that person is a hero. A hero this town doesn't deserve." Eddie gives Steve a quick kiss. "I love you." Steve kisses him back. "I love you too, Eddie. I better get these phone calls made. Your fan club will be overjoyed to hear of your unlikely, yet triumphant return." He sits down and starts dialing the first number. Eddie stands there feeling nervous, but excited. He would get his life back, and then he could plan a proper future for himself and Steve. This was the first step.
