The Beautifully Tragic: A Steddie Romance

Eddie was laying on the bed, waiting for Steve to return, when the back of his neck gets this weird, tingly feeling. He rubs it and sits up. His gaze catches a glimpse of the sky, and he springs to his feet. He runs over to the window to have a closer look. The sky is turning an eerie color and red streaks of lightning streak through the sky. It reminded Eddie of that fucked up Disneyland he had been stuck in. "What the hell is going on?" He thought looking at the sky. He had a bad feeling about this and wished Steve would hurry home. Something was definitely wrong here. He thought back to the time he and Steve were walking through the fucked up and together. How he had told Steve "outside of d&d he's no hero." If that thing flaying thing he saw there or that asshole with tentacles show up here, he would have to become a hero real quick. He wasn't having Steve or any of the Hellfire Club harmed. He didn't exactly know what he would do yet, but he would figure out something. He hears a banging on the front door and Steve's voice. He throws open the door and pulls Steve quickly inside. Steve is panting and out of breath. "Steve, what happened? Are you ok?" Steve nods and looks up at Eddie. "Some major shit is about to go down. Hawkins is starting to look like the upside down. There's no way that can mean anything good. We've got to be ready for whatever may happen today." Eddie nods grimly, worry filling his brown eyes. "Hey look on the bright side. At least now maybe people will see you're innocent." Steve says lifting Eddie's face up to his. He leans in and gives Steve a quick kiss. "Knowing my luck, they'll probably think this is something I somehow conjured. Maybe if I help fight it, they'll see I'm not the monster they've painted me as." Steve nods looking thoughtful. "We need to get the others here and come up with a plan. We'll also need weapons. By the looks of things, we don't have much time to prepare. I'll start calling them, you start rounding up weapons." Eddie nods and starts rummaging through the house as Steve makes his phone calls. About an half hour later, Jonathan and Nancy's cars pull up as everyone piles out of them. Steve quickly rushed everyone inside. "Alright guys, we have a lot of preparing to do, and not much time to do it in. Let's move!!!!" Everyone knowing Steve is right, rushes around setting up traps and making weapons. Steve stands beside Eddie, his barbed wire baseball bat in hand. Eddie looks over at him. "No matter what happens here today, don't forget that I love you." Steve pulls Eddie into his arms. "You just concentrate on staying alive, Munson. I'm not losing you a second time."He kisses Eddie's forehead and they stand there arms around each other, in the moments of the calm before the storm. Steve just hoped they all make it out of this alive...
