ARIANA'S POV

I sat in the car with Lewis, heading to our company, and glanced at him. He looked lost in thought. "It's early in the morning, what's there to think about?" I asked, but he didn't respond.

I felt a surge of annoyance and narrowed my eyes at him. "Lewis!" I yelled, trying to get his attention.

"I can hear you, Ariana," he replied calmly, still not looking at me.

"If you heard me, then you could have responded. How dare you not respond? Is this a new attitude?" I demanded, my voice rising.

Lewis finally looked at me, his eyes flashing with frustration. "Just let me think, Ariana!" he yelled back.

I scoffed, my anger boiling over. "I don't know what's giving you the nerve. Is it because I haven't beaten you for a long time?"

Lewis's expression turned bitter. "You know, I didn't realize it then until now, I regret the decision of marrying you. I wish I never did.
