Regretting

AARON POV

The driver filled me in on what had happened.

"She went to the cemetery to visit someone,"he said.

"The name on the tombstone was Zara Adrian."

He continued, "She was initially in the mood to go to the mall, but during the traffic jam, her mood shifted. I'm not sure what triggered it.

We changed course and stopped at a flower shop to buy flowers before heading to the cemetery.

Later, we stopped in front of a cafe, and she asked me to help her buy drinks. That's when she drunk-dialed someone, Lewis."

The driver's expression turned concerned. '"I wanted to intervene, but I didn't. When Lewis arrived, she unleashed her bitterness on him, telling him Zara was dead. After he said some things, he tried to hug her, but she pushed him away.'"

One of the bodyguards chimed in, "That's when we stepped in."

I let out a deep sigh. "You can go now." They nodded and left.
