I'll be with you

MARGARET POV

As night fell, 10:50 pm, Aaron still wasn't home - not unusual, given his demanding work schedule. I settled into the couch, wearing a comfortable white nightgown, and watched TV to stay awake.

Suddenly, the entrance door swung open, and Aaron walked in with Ace. I stood up to greet them, but Ace's gaze lingered on my dress before he quickly looked away.

I turned to Aaron with a smile, trying to break the ice. "How was your day?" I asked, hoping he wasn't still angry for what happened in the morning.

But instead of a warm response, Ace spoke up, his voice stern.

"Do you know what you're wearing is transparent? I can see right through it.

And with all the men around, you choose to dress so inappropriately."

His glanced at me and then he brushed past me, heading upstairs.
