Ariana's wedding

AARON POV

As I sat in the car, my mind kept racing back to the conversation I had with my grandaunt and the words I read in my grandfather's will. I was lost in thought, my grip on Margaret's hand tightening unconsciously. The warmth of her skin and the gentle pressure of her fingers intertwined with mine were the only things anchoring me to the present moment.

"Aaron, Aaron," I heard my name being called, but it took a moment for me to register that Margaret was speaking to me.

I turned to face her, my eyes focusing on her concerned expression. "I've been calling you since we got in the car, but you seemed distracted," she said, her voice laced with worry.

"What did your grandaunt say that's making you tremble? You've been holding my hand tightly since we left, and I can feel you trembling."
