Chapter 1: New Arrival

////Mount Ebott////

Near the large hole on Mount ebott we see a young man wandering around

" Ok they said it was somewhere around here " the boy said

" I'm gonna prove those cowards wrong! " he said

His name is Miguel, he is a young boy with black neck length dreadlocks tied up in a ponytail, he has big ocean blue eyes, his pupils star shaped, he is wearing a black long sleeve shirt along with a dark green pants.

He is currently exploring the mountain looking for the large hole that is said to hold monsters. As he continues to climb the mountain he hears a low growl from behind him. He slowly turns his head to the sight of a black bear looking right at him.

"Ahhhhh bear!!" he screams as he turns around and he starts to run as fast as he can.

The bear let's out a loud roar and began chasing him down. Miguel ran as fast as he can, he sees a hollowed out log laying on the forest floor and ran towards it. He ran inside the tree and quickly crawled through. The bear tried to follow him through the log but couldn't fit so it chose to go above.

"Why is my luck so bad!!!" He thought as he got out of the log and continued running

The bear jumped off the log and the chase continues.

As Miguel continues running, he comes to an immediate stop. In front of him lays a huge hole. It was so deep he couldn't see the bottom.

"Woah! So this is the hole where the monsters are huh" he said looking down the hole with awe

"Roar!!!"

Momentarily forgetting the immediate threat that refused to stay quiet, the bear came rushing towards him. Miguel's heart pounded as he stood at the edge of the massive hole. He glanced back and saw the bear charging straight at him, its eyes wild with rage. There was no time to think. His instincts took over. Without a second thought, Miguel leaped into the hole. The world around him became a blur as he plummeted down. The air rushed past his ears, and darkness enveloped him. He braced himself for impact, but he continued to fall deeper and deeper into the abyss.

Suddenly, he landed on something surprisingly soft. Opening his eyes, he found himself lying on a bed of vibrant flowers, illuminated by a faint, ethereal glow. He groaned, feeling the aches from the fall, but miraculously, nothing seemed broken.

"Where... am I?" Miguel whispered to himself, taking in his surroundings. He stood up slowly, dusting himself off.

"I can't believe I survived that..." he muttered, looking up at the tiny speck of light far above. There was no way he could climb back up.

"Guess I'm stuck here," he said, a mix of excitement and trepidation in his voice.

As he ventured further into the cavern, an unsettling feeling crept over him, like he was being watched. The stories he had heard about this place suddenly felt much more real.

While moving through the cavern, he passed through an old gate where he happens opon a clearing with a small patch of grass.

"Hm..." Miguel stares at the patch of grass getting a weird vibe coming from it.

Then without warning a flower sprouts up from the ground. The flower had face with a cheerful smile.

"Howdy friend!, my names Flowey" the flower said.

"You're new to the UNDERGROUND, aren'tcha?" It said.

"Eh" Miguel whispered while he tries to understand what he's seeing.

"Golly, you must be so confused. Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do."

Miguel looks at Flowey with a flabbergasted look on his face.

"Ahhh!!! A talking flower with a face!!!" He shouted jumping backwards to gain distance.

"Don't be afraid, I'm a friend" Flowey said with an unwavering smile.

Miguel slowly started to calm down. He feels that there's something odd about the flower but he couldn't put his finger on it.

Miguel took a cautious step forward, still eyeing Flowey warily. The cheerful demeanor of the flower contrasted sharply with the eerie ambiance of the cavern. His heart was still racing from the bear encounter and the unexpected plunge into the underground world.

"Okay, Flowey... What is this place?" Miguel asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Flowey's smile widened. "This is the UNDERGROUND, where monsters have been banished for a long, long time. But don't worry, you're safe here. Let me show you how things work!"

Before Miguel could respond, a strange light enveloped him, and he found himself in a different, more surreal landscape. Symbols and icons floated around him, and a small light blue heart with a question mark inside of it appeared before him.

"See that heart?" Flowey said. "That's your SOUL, the very culmination of your being!"

Miguel stared at the heart, feeling an odd connection to it.

"Okay... So what do I do with it?" Miguel said as he started to get excited

"Your SOUL starts off weak, but it can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV," Flowey explained, his voice still cheerful.

"What's LV?" Miguel asked, curious despite his wariness.

"Why, LOVE, of course!" Flowey replied, his smile never wavering.

"You want some LOVE, don't you? I'll share some with you!" Flowey said his smile widening

Miguel nodded hesitantly. Suddenly, little white pellets appeared around him.

"Down here, LOVE is shared through... little white... 'friendliness pellets.' Are you ready? Move around! Get as many as you can!" Flowey encouraged.

Miguel instinctively move towards the pellets. But just as he was about to touch one, a voice in the back of his mind screamed for him to stop. He jerked away, narrowly avoiding them.Flowey's expression darkened for a split second before reverting to his friendly facade.

"You missed them. Let's try again, okay?" Flowey said his smile srinking a little.

Miguel's instincts screamed that something was wrong. He hesitated, then spoke up, "Why do I feel like those pellets aren't what you say they are?"

Flowey's smile twisted into a sinister grin. "Clever, aren't you? Well, let's cut to the chase. In this world, it's KILL or BE KILLED."

Suddenly, the atmosphere grew oppressive. The pellets circled Miguel menacingly, closing in from all sides. Miguel's eyes widened in fear, realizing he had walked into a trap.

"Die," Flowey hissed, his voice dripping with malice.

As the pellets closed in, Miguel braced himself for the worst. But just before they could hit, a brilliant light filled the space. The pellets vanished, and Flowey was flung backward.A tall, goat-like figure stood between Miguel and Flowey, emanating a protective aura.

"What a terrible creature, torturing such a poor, innocent youth," the figure said in a gentle, yet firm voice.

Flowey scowled and vanished into the shadows, leaving Miguel trembling but unharmed.

The figure turned to him, her eyes filled with kindness."Do not be afraid, my child," she said. "I am Toriel, caretaker of the RUINS. I came to guide you through the catacombs."

Miguel felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Thank you... I thought I was done for."

Toriel gave him a reassuring smile. "Come, I will protect you. There is much you need to learn about this place."

As they walked together, Miguel couldn't help but wonder about the adventures and dangers that awaited him in this strange, underground world.
