Chapter-2|Awakening in Ancient Realms

Mark smiled, "Huh, it's finally over. I'm sorry, Mom and Dad. I don't think I'm brave enough to keep on living anymore." As he slowly drowned, his vision blurred, and he fainted. After a long period of darkness, he suddenly opened his eyes and found himself wearing traditional Chinese clothes in a dense forest. Confused, he slowly stood up and muttered, "I didn't die yet? How? Or is this what the afterlife looks like? It doesn't feel like it. Well, I guess the only way to know is to find someone."

Surveying the dense forest, Mark decided to walk towards the north in search of someone. As he walked, he noticed a peculiar sensation of feeling taller and stronger, perhaps the aftereffects of death. Chuckling to himself, Mark continued walking. After about five minutes, he spotted an old Chinese village about 50 meters away.

"Did I end up here because of the river's flow?" Mark wondered aloud. Drawing closer to the village, he encountered a strange Chinese man dressed in traditional servant clothes. The man looked at Mark and exclaimed, "My Lord! Where have you been? We've been searching for you for three days!"

Mark, taken aback, asked, "Excuse me? Who are you?" The servant began to cry. "My lord, I have been with you since your birth, and you forgot about me after just three days?" Nearby soldiers, hearing the man's cries, approached and noticed Mark. They were all shocked and immediately kneeled to the ground, shouting, "My Lord! What are you doing here? The king and queen were worried sick about you!"

One soldier yelled, "Someone bring the Lord's horse!"
