Chapter 4

Jake's POV

"Let her in." Steel had informed me that they were here even though I had perceived her scent before. 

She entered slowly and I had my gaze fixated on her ignoring Carl's warning not to scare our mate.

Her eyes were that of amber and had a touch of sapphire that I think should be the eyes of her wolf ,her hair was that of chestnut color. Taking a closer look at her she had pale skin due to malnutrition but she was beautiful.

"Do you know who I am?" I asked her. 

 "Yes." She responded. 

I could feel a wave of anger radiating from her but why was she angry? I stood up and walked towards her and she stepped back.Good she was scared of me she should be,I closed the door behind her and went back to my seat.

"That we are soulmates?" She looked at me and nodded, must be a person of few words.

"What's your name?" 

"Celine." She responded,She had a nice name Carl giggled at my honesty.

"Celine, I have to reject you." I thought I saw a flickering of hurt in her eyes but was gone.

"What are you doing man, you're hurting her wolf!" Carl paced around in anger.

"You're going to make them hate us." He warned again.

"What's your name Alpha?" She suddenly said, not taking her eyes off me. Her gaze pierced directly into my soul which I hated.

"I'm Alpha Jake Crimson of the dark moon pack, also the King of Lycans." I wanted her to feel the kind of aura I carried.

"I Celine Jen." I thought she was going to reject me but stopped all of a sudden. She was silent for a while before she spoke again.

"Too bad Alpha I can't reject you." She firmly stated.

"Come again?" 

"I can't reject you." 

"You've got something wrong here,you don't have a say in this." I stood up and walked towards her.

"If I may ask Alpha why do you want to reject me." Her voice came out soft which made my heart tingled.

"That's because you're weak,a nobody,a slave, do you think you're worthy of becoming my Luna?"

"Do you think you're worthy of carrying my pups?" I lifted her chin aggressively, the touch sent a sensation down my spine.

"You are the one who isn't worthy of becoming my mate,your sins are too numerous to mention.You think you deserve love you think you deserve a mate? You're nothing but the devil himself!" She swept my hands away in anger.

"I blame the moon goddess for making me your mate!" Tears flowed down from her cheek,Carl wailed in agony and my heart ached.

The anger radiating from her made me wonder if we had met in the past,but we haven't. I had only seen her for the first time in the black market. Or was she there because of me?

"What's your full name?" She didn't answer me.

"Don't make me repeat myself."

"I'm Celine Robert." She was nervous.

"What's the name of your pack?" 

"I don't know, I lost my memory at a young age." She fiddled with the hem of her clothes,she was uneasy.

"Really?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yes." She was lying, definitely hiding something and I knew it because I was an Alpha.

"You can go back,You will be staying at the pack house now. Steel will take you there, and we will discuss this later." She looked at me and wanted to say something but stopped.

Taking her to the pack house was what I could do for now,her attitude towards me was suspicious. I had to have her close, I did a mental calculation to have my men find out about her identity.

"Celine." I called as she was about to open the door.

"I can't have you as my mate, I'm sorry." She looked at me,and the pain was evident which she masked quickly.

"Me too." She murmured which I heard audibly due to my keen sense of hearing.

Celine moved into the pack house and I had her as my personal maid inorder to calm my raging wolf. I decided not to reject her for now for Carl's sake he would be broken if I carried out with my plans.

I could hear the noises of heated arguments coming from the second floor. I closed the document in front of me in anger. The noise was getting too much and I couldn't concentrate. I left my study in anger, whoever was making the noise would be punished.

 "What's going on here!" I thundered upon seeing the sight I just witnessed. Celine had a handful of Anabelle's hair. When did she get here?

"Jake." Anabelle called, her eyes were bloodshot.

"Let go of her now!" I ordered Celine,she looked at me for a second before releasing her grip.

"Jake I just asked her to get me a cup of Coffee and she was offended,she said she was your personal maid and that she couldn't. When did you get a personal maid Jake?" Anabelle said as she dressed her scattered hair,she walked towards me and gave me a peck.

"Is that true?" I asked Celine in particular.

"She's lying." Celine stated.

"You call me a liar,Jake, why would I lie against a maid?" Anabelle replied.

Celine was hurt by this statement. She looked at me curious to see if I would take Anabelle's side.

"You should know your place maid, you're to respect her, how should I punish you?" I asked Celine,she clenched her fist in anger.

"Answer me, how should I punish you?" She didn't respond,if looks could kill I would have been dead.

"I think you should hear from both parties before judging, your emotions shouldn't cloud your judgment." My sister Chloe walked in.

"When did you get back?" She had left the pack to another pack in the quest for studying. She looked so much like my mother she took all the good characters from our parents.

 "Two days ago I was at a friend's place." She smiled and I missed her alot. It has been two years since we saw each other.

"You didn't tell me." I left Anabelle's side and gave her a hug,she was surprised I wasn't the kind of person who shows emotions.

"Ohh you missed me this much." She laughed.

"You wish." I rolled my eyes.

"Jake I forgot,I have a meeting with an associate. I have to go now, don't miss me too much." Anabelle gave me a peck as she hurried away.

Anabelle and Chloe didn't get along,there were rumors that Chloe couldn't accept my relationship with Anabelle.That was why she left the pack.Chloe left to pick a call and I was left with Celine.

"Follow me." I ordered.

I went to my room and she followed from behind,she entered and I told her to close the door.She hesitated at first but did anyway.

"Is there something I should do?" Celine asked.

"Bare your arm." I said.

"Excuse me?" She frowned.

I moved closer to her and she took some steps back and I soon had her against the wall. Her breathing was uneven,the matebond to be blamed.

"I have to initiate you into the pack." I calmly said.
