Chapter62

Later that night, Romeo arrived home, the exhaustion of the day's events etched on his face. He slipped quietly through the front door, not wanting to wake the kids, who were already fast asleep. He made his way to the bedroom, where Marie was waiting for him, her eyes fixed on him with a mixture of concern and desire.

"Hey, baby, how are you doing?" Romeo asked, his voice low and gentle, as he slipped into bed beside her.

Marie's eyes narrowed slightly, her voice husky. "You were out late," she said, her tone a subtle accusation.

Romeo shrugged, his eyes locked on hers. "Had to do some little things," he said, his voice vague.

Marie's expression softened, her eyes filling with understanding. "Okay," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Romeo's eyes locked on hers, his desire for her evident. Marie's cheeks flushed, her pulse racing with anticipation.
