While Blade of Storm focuses mostly on subtle and precise movements to attack, it's powerful.
I breathed out as I put my back foot down to stabilize my form, then bent the front knee while leaning backward with the sword held horizontally, its tip pointed forward. I let the air around me settle.
As the scene calmed down, I pushed the back foot forward and then the front foot, circling the sword around me, making sure there was no change in trajectory. There was a subtle sound as I completed a full circle around myself.
THAD
I saw the tree divided into two pieces as it fell. I moved out of its path to avoid being smashed under its weight.
The cut this time was so clean, like really clean.
This is The Flow of River. In this technique, one must focus on their movements while maintaining a single trajectory, using every ounce of power to push the blade as fast as possible.
Maintaining the trajectory and power makes it very... smooth.
Satisfied with the results, I sheathed my sword and picked up the Sylvarite Spear. This weapon demanded a different approach. Unlike the sword, which relied on cutting and slicing, the spear was about thrusting and striking with precision.
I spun the spear and held it at the very end with a single hand, pointing it forward as if it were a sword.
Northern Wind, Blaze of Storm is for less movement and more damage. The Flow of River is for a single strike that takes a chunk of your power to perform. But Northern Wind is different.
I spun the spear in a circle, then another, and another, letting the energy store itself in it.
The Northern Wind technique is for multiple strikes without stopping.
I stepped forward, placing my other hand in the middle of the spear to stop its movement for a second. I positioned it forward, feeling the kinetic energy within it.
Stab.
Stab.
Stab.
I stabbed the fallen trunk of the tree. The fatigue came instantly after I stopped. Breathing heavily, I stared at the hundreds of holes in the trunk.
Fast and multiple strikes.
[Nice,] Rune formed near my thumb. [Want me to add the progress of these techniques to your status?]
"And what's that?"
It didn't answer, but I felt a burning sensation on my palm and turned my hand to see.

It vanished as quickly as it appeared, and new text engraved itself.
[These are stats that I can display. It'll help you keep track of your progress and if something's wrong with your body too, I can tell you that—like your current fatigue levels and a few other things,] Rune informed. [I can keep tabs on your progress in these martial arts skills too.]
I can do that too, but whatever. I don't think I can check my fatigue levels, though.
"Do whatever you want."
I picked up my stuff. I need to get rid of the trees and fix the balcony.
