Hidden System...

Aiden's eyes widened and so did his mouth. He was still in shock about the new set of information flooding his brain.

He looked at Lydia who was knocked out on the passenger seat and then at Alex whose head was nestled upon the steering wheel.

"This new spell…the name looks kind of useful for this occasion. Can I get more information concerning it?" After considering the plight he was in, Aiden asked the system concerning the new spell, "Memory Manipulator"

[System: Yes, host. The spell "Memory Manipulator" is one that can assist you in altering the memories of a targeted individual and it truly looks fit for the situation you are in and how fit it is, I'll leave you to find that out.]

Aiden sighed, "Your response is as dry as the Sahara desert. No worries, I know what to do."

After a moment of contemplation, he dropped his hand from his chin and clasped his fingers together.

"Activate 'Memory Manipulator'," he commanded.

Instantly, a refreshing sensation coursed through his mind, and he was inundated with the knowledge of how to master the spell. As he absorbed the information, he felt a deep connection to the magic, as if he and the spell had become one entity.

Aiden's doubts about the spell's usage vanished instantly, a familiar sensation he experienced whenever he activated a new magic. It was as if the spells became an innate part of him, like a forgotten memory rediscovered.

With his gaze fixed on the still-sleeping Lydia, Aiden approached her and gently placed a hand on her head. Closing his eyes, he focused on the spell. Suddenly, a flurry of memories flooded his mind, but he remained calm, allowing them to slowly settle and unfold in his brain like a gentle stream.

After the memory transmission, Aiden saw Lydia's memories suspended in mid-air before him, like a holographic display. He quickly scanned through the vivid recollections, many of which were dark and disturbing, until he found what he was seeking - their previous encounter.

Reaching out with his mind, he grasped the fragments of that memory and whispered "erase". The memories dissolved into tiny particles that dispersed before his eyes, leaving no trace.

Aiden created a new memory and inserted it into the vacant space, adding a few more alterations before returning all her memories to her mind.

With a deep sigh, he withdrew his hand from her head, feeling a sense of accomplishment. He had successfully erased and implanted memories, and now all he had to do was wait for the desired outcome. As sweat beads formed on his forehead, he wiped them away with his left hand.

Focusing his energy, he summoned his Demon form. His body began to transform, his ears elongating and horns sprouting from his head. His eyes turned a fiery red, his skin pale, and his nails grew into sharp claws. His teeth morphed into fangs, and a fierce hunger surged through him, as if he could devour an entire cow in one bite.

Aiden's brows furrowed in confusion as he experienced a strange, unfamiliar sensation in his demon form.

He had transformed to gain strength, but instead, he felt weakness spreading through his body. With each passing moment, his life force seemed to dwindle, as if his very existence was being drained away.

"System...what's...wrong with me?" he struggled to utter, his lips feeling heavy and unresponsive.

[Ding!

Host is in critical condition.

Either Deactivate your Demonic form or feed to restore your strength!]

"Huh?" Aiden's surprise deepened, his brows knitting together in disbelief.

"How do I feed in this form? I need it to get home..." he asked, his breathing slowing.

[System: Host can either feed on preys or predators blood.]

Aiden's eyes widened in disbelief, his mind reeling at the system's demand. "What!" he exclaimed, his voice laced with shock and dismay.

The system's feedback left him perplexed, torn between his law-abiding nature and the monstrous demands of his new form. His daily tasks, once mundane, now seemed to conflict with his values.

After much contemplation, he reluctantly decided to succumb to his demon form's needs. Feeding it would kill two birds with one stone - satiate his hunger and complete the daily task he had been putting off.

His fangs lengthened, and his red eyes shone brighter as he fixed his gaze on Lydia. He lifted her body and nestled his nose between her neck, inhaling the sweet scent of her blood.

His eyes turned a deep dark red, and he sank his fangs into her neck. The taste of blood was divine, just as he had smelled it. As he fed, the system notification clouded his sight

[Ding!

His senses were already clouded, and he didn't care about anything else; his focus was only on drinking to his fill. Even the system notification didn't seem to bother him, but a certain word caught his attention.

Aiden's eyes remained fixed on the hologram screen, his mind reeling with the implications of the system merge. He couldn't believe that the same system he had struggled with in his previous body, the one that had made his life a living hell with its constant reminders and notifications, was now a part of his new reality.

He felt a surge of anger and frustration towards the creator, who had seemingly designed the system without any regard for the host's well-being. 'What kind of person does this to someone?' Aiden thought to himself. 'What kind of person takes pleasure in making someone's life a constant struggle?'
