The forest echoed with thrashing sounds and heavy thuds as Terrorfang trudged through the trees, its massive size effortlessly clearing a path through the dense underbrush.
"What are we going to do now?" Clara panted, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she struggled to keep up.
Jaxon supported her, his resolve wavering as fear crept into his voice. "Yeah, how? We've only got ten minutes left before the illusion breaks, and we need to emerge as winners. But what about Aiden?"
Patrick, on the other hand, appeared unbothered by the situation. He leaned casually against a tree, his face stern as he regarded the rest of the team with a calculated gaze.
"If I remember correctly, the requirements to win are to either kill the beast with only two casualties or ensure three out of five team members survive. As far as I can see, it's all settled."
He added with a cold, measured tone, "I don't see what the fuss is about."
