CHAPTER 29 I Can Hate You Until I Die

  Kassandra's POV

"Now I understand why you are fearless of doing this," I concluded while we were on our way to his car.

He gives me a side glance before opening the passenger seat for me.

  I entered.

"What do you mean by that?"

My eyes move up to look at him, leaning over by the car door.

"This whole thing. You can get away with anyone even if authorities are looking for me. I am sure Dad has gone through the Cops to find me—"

"Why are you so sure that he's looking for you?"

  My lips parted. What?

Clayden closed the door on my side, and I watched him walk towards the driver's seat. My eyes are glued to him as I watch him buckle his seatbelt. Clayden looks at me before leaning over to fasten my seatbelt.

"I can do it myself," I mumbled, moving away from him.

"Aren't you tired of hating me, Kassandra?"

I look outside. "I can hate you until I die, Rousseau."

  "Suit yourself."
