Kassandra's POV
After finishing my meal, I swiftly change into new clothing. While I fix myself, Clayden and Jax are simply waiting below. I half-ran toward the stairs when I thought I already looked presentable and found them seriously conversing.
I yelled, halfway down the stairs, "I'm done!"
"Kassandra, slow down. You might fall!" Clayden exclaimed from there.
I chuckled but my eyes are rolling heavenward. "It's fine, so you'll going to worry about me this time." I threw.
I definitely tried to irritate Clayden again over what happened yesterday by making him purse his lips in response to what I said.
He said, "Kassandra..." with a foreboding tone.
I shove my hands in front, dismissing the subject. "Fine, fine. Whatever makes you sleep at night, Rousseau."
Jax laughed from the single couch.
"Let's go?"
I cling my arm to Clayden. He looks at my hand holding him and notices him trying to suppress a smile.
