Kassandra's POV
And then it happened again—a flash of images, a whirlwind of emotions that swept me away to another time, another life.
I saw myself, radiant and happy, standing alongside Clayden, our laughter blending with the wind.
Both of us are running around and are obviously happy.
This time, the memory is clear. I know this place! That same old tree at the back of this house. Near the cliff.
"I love you, Thea." I heard Clayden speak from that scenario and he kisses me on my temple.
But then, like a tempest crashing upon the shore, the memory shifted abruptly.
I found myself face to face with Cameo, her emerald eyes filled with a mix of concern and ancient wisdom. "Kassandra, my dear, there is more to your story than you know. The threads of your past and present are intertwined, revealing a truth that eludes you."
Confusion washed over me like a tidal wave, the certainty of my identity slipping through my fingers like sand.
