Kassandra's POV
Life had taken an unexpected turn, leading me to Montgomery's side, where moments of happiness were beginning to weave their way into my existence. Although I couldn't reciprocate Montgomery's profound love for me, he remained steadfast in his commitment to be there for both me and our unborn child.
It was a bond that held its own form of warmth and comfort.
"Hey! That is so unfair!" I shouted when he got to fetch another fish once again. His bucket is almost to its half while mine has nothing.
He laughed. "Fishes probably hates you, Lewis."
I made a face and turn to focus on holding my fishing rod.
I look at the sky and notice that it's cloudless today. Spring is almost over, and the sun is shining bright as summer slowly creeps in for this month.
