CHAPTER 57 It's Not Only About Her

  Solaine's POV

I find myself standing outside Axel's room in the healer's quarters, my heart heavy with the memory of the brutal attack he endured at the hands of the Alpha King. Initially, there is a sense of hesitation.

"Just do it," Belly, my wolf urged, seemingly eager for me to push ahead and become stronger.

  "I'm still uncertain..."

"I can tell he's incredibly fine." she abruptly cut me off, her voice exuding a sense of urgency and determination.

I gave a silent nod. "You are correct,"

"Now, I understand. The Alpha King and his wolf, Ludwig, have their motives for every action they take." she spoke to me and I inhaled deeply.

"Is it to punish me, Belly? He's doing all of this to inflict more suffering upon me and appease his Luna, and I simply can't understand him anymore." I softly whispered. "I fear that if he discovers our baby, he may opt for a drastic and irreversible course of action." I murmured.
