  "I long for our relationship to return to its former state," I find my gaze fixated on the wall.

  In my opinion, he is still talking about Selene. He is constantly seeking to mend their relationship.

  I allowed him to weep against my shoulder before uttering, "Cease this." I commanded with my icy tone.

  He pulls his face away from mine and locks his gaze on me.

  "I don't want to cause you any more pain," he said. "I'm overwhelmed by my emotions, yet I can't help but constantly think about you. It's as if I'm not whole without you. You have a profound effect on me. You're the one I'm destined to be with. I'm powerless to resist you." He exclaimed, running his fingers through his hair. I observed him with a heavy heart as his tears streamed down, yet my face remained devoid of any emotion.

  "I am your soulmate," I gently caressed his cheeks. "But I could never be the love of your life," I murmured, my gaze fixed on the ground.
