CHAPTER 2 Substitute

　　Lottie's POV

　　Alfie didn't answer me, but he looked at my body with an aggressive gaze. It suddenly dawned on me that I was still wearing the lingerie.

　　Feeling offended, I raised my right hand to slap him, but he had already sensed my intention. In an instant, he effortlessly grabbed my wrist with his left hand and spun me around, pressing my hand against the wall.

　　"No one has ever dared to hit me before."

　　"What do you want?!" I couldn't tell from his tone whether he was angry or not, and his sudden movement and powerful aura made me panic again.

　　I tried to break free from his grasp.

　　The next second, we were face-to-face again. He lowered his head and put his index finger on my mouth, trying to quiet me down. "Shh..."

　　This intimate contact with a man other than Lewis made me both scared and excited, causing me to forget to struggle for a while.

　　His scent enveloped me. The warmth from his finger made my brain a little fuzzy.

　　There is a michevious glint in his eyes.

　　"You'd better be quiet. Otherwise, anyone who sees us will think you're seducing me."

　　"Nonsense!"

　　I acted purely on instinct. I angrily turned my head and bit down on his finger.

　　His eyebrows furrowed slightly, then he let go of my right hand but used his strong body to press me hard against the wall, making me unable to move. I have to admit that this bastard is much stronger than Lewis.

　　He pinched my chin with his free left hand, and I was forced to let go of his finger.

　　"You shouldn't grind your teeth, puppy." After looking at me with a domineering gaze for two seconds, he suddenly let go of me.

　　I immediately fled from him and picked up the clothes on the sofa to put them on. He leaned against the wall, crossed his arms in front of his chest, and looked at me.

　　"Turn around!"

　　"Your figure is beautiful; there's no need to be shy about showing it to others." Although he said so, I obediently turned around. "I was just kindly reminding you, but you bit me."

　　"That's because I mistook you for Lewis. This is his private study. Without his permission, no one should be in here but him. How was I supposed to know you would come in here? And what were you thinking, grabbing me like that? You really scared me."

　　He seemed to have eyes behind his head. Just as I finished putting on my clothes and sat on the sofa, he turned his head towards me.

　　"Well, even if it's my fault." He walked towards me with a helpless and compromising expression and looked down at me from above. "Lottie, I never lack women. I don't need to go after my nephew's woman."

　　His words reminded me of how he was passionately kissing the sexy she-wolf in the garden earlier. I admit that he does not lack women, but I do not agree with the latter part of his sentence.

　　"Really? Your actions don't match what you're saying now."

　　"Although you prepared all this carefully today, I'm afraid he didn't think to spare anytime for you."

　　"What do you mean?"

　　"He has many tasks to complete today." He walked toward the door as he spoke. "When you see Lewis later, tell him to come find me."

　　After Alfie left, the thought of him pressing me against the wall and me holding onto him, feeling his tight muscles around his waist, kept replaying in my mind.

　　What an annoying guy!

　　I waited for a while, but Lewis still hadn't arrived, and my good mood had already been slightly ruined. I vented my frustration by hitting the pillow on my leg. Impatient, I pressed the call button in the study to have a servant bring me a cup of tea.

　　Soon, the servant, Judy, came in with the tea and looked at me with a hint of confusion.

　　"Why are you in the study? Does Mr. Lewis know you're here?" She poured me a cup of tea.

　　"He doesn't know yet. I came here to surprise him secretly." I drank the tea in one gulp.

　　"But you might run into Miss Lottie if you come here now. She doesn't know about you and Mr. Gray, does she?"

　　"What are you talking about? What's going on between Winnie and Lewis?"

　　Judy realized who I was and took a step back in horror.

　　"Where is Lewis now?"

　　Judy hesitated and stood in front of me with an uncertain expression. I didn't understand what there was to hesitate about.

　　"Judy, I'm not Winnie, and I don't have much patience."

　　Although I haven't undergone my first transformation yet, I've received various trainings as an Alpha heir since I was a child. My serious face can still scare most werewolves.

　　"He's...in his bedroom."

　　I immediately went to his bedroom. As I approached the bedroom, I heard Lewis's anxious voice.

　　"Winnie, I've always loved you."

　　My feet were instantly nailed to the ground. His words hit my heart like a heavy hammer.

　　"Really, didn't you get together with Lottie because you liked her? If you don't like her, what are you guys then?"

　　It's Winnie! But I couldn't believe Winnie would betray me. I care more about her than Lewis, so I decided to keep listening.

　　"How could I like that impulsive and brainless fool? It's only because you've been rejecting me that I treated her as your substitute. Do you know? Every time I f*ck her, I imagine it's you."

　　Lewis's words were like throwing me into a freezer. The coldness spread from my heart to my limbs. Tears streamed down my face as my heart ached.

　　"You're shameless." Although Winnie's tone was flat, I'm sure she wasn't happy. She didn't betray me.

　　This bastard Lewis actually used me as Winnie's substitute, which not only insulted me but also insulted Winnie.

　　All the passionate moments we had in bed in the past now make me sick, like accidentally swallowing a fly. All the love and beauty turned into anger. The anger surged out and burned everything into ashes.

　　Today, I'm going to tear him apart and let him know the price of playing with others!

　　As I clenched my fists and was about to violently kick the door, someone tightly grabbed my hand. With a strong pull, I fell into a hot embrace.

　　"Why is it you again?"
