CHAPTER10 Marry Me

  Lottie's POV

Lisa, the girl with brown hair and a cake skirt, must have been the one giving me hostile looks. She accused me of seducing Adams, probably because she liked him.

My mind was working at lightning speed. Even though I put up a strong front against Jennifer, I was actually feeling guilty because I was flirting with Adams.

But I was surprised that Alfie helped me. I thought he would either ignore the situation or side with Jennifer, especially since Jennifer was his niece.

"She's your friend; of course you'd believe her lies!" I said.

"I need proof; otherwise, I'll throw you in the dungeon!" Jennifer refused to back down, and Alfie pinched his temples with a frown.

"Jennifer, as Lottie said, how can you prove to everyone that Lisa is telling the truth and not just spreading rumors out of jealousy?" he asked.

Jennifer didn't know how to respond and eventually turned her head away in frustration.
