CHAPTER 52 Never Come to Me Again

  Alfie's POV

I was awakened by the glaring sunlight in the morning, followed by a slight headache and a discomfort in my throat. I sat up and my attention was drawn to the colorful light refracting through a glass bottle not far away.

I remembered the beautiful dream from last night, and although I had forgotten its content, the wonderful feeling remained, making me feel a little happier whenever I thought of it.

I got up and stretched lazily. Looking at the blanket on the floor, a hint of confusion flashed through my mind. I never bothered to cover myself with a blanket when I was drunk.

I walked to the bathroom to freshen up and noticed traces of ointment on my face when I saw myself in the mirror. It suddenly dawned on me that last night might not have been a dream. I immediately found my phone and checked the call logs.
