CHAPTER 20 The Truth

  Lucie knew that Ruslan's tone of negotiation was already the most he could accept, and he did it for her own good. So instead of arguing, she nodded obediently and agreed. "Okay, let's go tomorrow."

  Ruslan picked up Lucie from the hospital and didn't say a word on the way. Lucie turned her head to observe his expression from the corner of her eye, but Ruslan noticed and asked, "What are you looking at?"

  Lucie felt caught off guard and blushed. She stuttered, "I-I-I...I'm not looking at anything! I was just looking at the scenery outside the window...um...the view." They stopped at a red light, and Ruslan turned to her, lifted his thin lips, and leaned closer to her with a low and deep voice, "Oh? Really just looking at the view?"

  Lucie wanted to step back as Ruslan leaned closer, but he pressed the back of her head and kissed her on the lips. He then let go of her and said with a faint smile in his tone, "You can look all you want in the future."
