CHAPTER 28 Getting Sick

  He held her hands tightly, and because of the force, Lucie's face turned pale with pain. But she still stared at him with a stubborn and unyielding look in her eyes.

  He laughed bitterly in anger, didn't do anything with her, but was enough to break down her defenses.

  The next morning, Lucie felt weak all over and couldn't even sit up in bed without support. When she lifted the covers and saw the marks on her body, memories of the previous night flooded back.

  Ruslan didn't do anything with her last night, but left marks all over her body.

  After washing up and going downstairs, Lucie didn't see Ruslan. The maid noticed her pale complexion and asked, "Miss Wyane, are you feeling unwell? You don't look too good."

  Lucie did feel a little dizzy, but still within her tolerance. She waved her hand and said softly, "It's nothing."

  Although she said so, Lucie only ate a few bites of breakfast before going to work.
