CHAPTER 61 The Unexpected News

  DAVID'S POV

I got up and wondered where she went this morning. I removed my blanket and went out of the room.

As I got downstairs, I heard the sound of laughter and all and wondered what was going on.

I followed the sound and it led me to the dining room, where I saw Anna sitting at the table, laughing with my parents.

"There he is!" my father exclaimed when he saw me. "I was starting to think you'd slept in."

"I was just getting some extra rest," I said, walking over to the table. "But I'm glad to be up now, seeing as how lively it is."

"Yes, it is," my mother said. "Anna and I have been chatting about all sorts of things. She's such a wonderful conversationalist."

"She certainly is," I said, sitting down at the table. "I'm so glad you two are getting along so well."
