DAVID'S POV
Hearing Mr. Andrew reveal that my grandfather had prepared a gift for me in advance before his passing made me feel a little guilty because I never wanted to get married and still do not have the intention of doing so.
The business arrangement I had with Anna was going to come to an end soon after the whole inheritance thing was finalized.
"Wow…. I didn't expect my grandfather to give me such an expensive gift." I said a smile on my face.
"Your grandfather always thought very highly of you, and he wanted to make sure you were taken care of," Mr. Andrew replied. "He always said that you were the future of the company, and he wanted to make sure you had everything you needed to succeed."
"I appreciate that," I said, still a little overwhelmed by the revelation. But the truth of the matter was that I wasn't ready to get married to anyone and what Anna and I had was simply a business contract and nothing romantic involved or was there?
