CHAPTER 77 Different Reasons

  ANNA'S POV

  Ahem!

  We both looked over to see who it was, and we saw one of the staff of the resort standing in front of us.

  "I'm so sorry to interrupt your moment of bond, but I was instructed to inform you that the beach would soon be closed and that you should go inside and rest for the night." the staff informed us.

  I was grateful for the interruption, even though it had been a bit awkward. I took a deep breath, and David turned to face the staff member.

  "Thank you for letting us know," he said, his tone polite. "We'll be heading in shortly."

  The staff member nodded and then left, and we were once again alone. I felt relieved that the tension had been broken, but I couldn't help but feel a bit awkward.

  David turned to face me, a small smile playing on his lips. "I guess we should probably head in," he said, his tone light.
