CHAPTER 33 Scammer

  Wren's POV

I raised my hands in disbelief, my palms sweating with excitement and nervousness, reflecting a fine light under the sunshine.

"That's right," Zara smiled. "This is your ability."

I never thought that I would have such a gift.

"Wren," my mother's gentle voice, brought me back to reality. She smiled and said, "After knowing this, do you have any new thoughts about what happened a few days ago?"

Suddenly, Clover's words in the dungeon echoed in my head: "Because Ralph couldn't get resources from you."

And then I remembered Hayden's initial approach for no reason and his subsequent deliberate or unintentional attempts to befriend me.

Suddenly, a terrible thought formed in my mind.

My mother whispered, "Think carefully, Wren. Why did you enter the wrong room and mistake the person that day when you are usually so careful?"

I was startled, feeling like I had been splashed with a bucket of ice water from head to toe.
